Welcome to the Homer / Baycrest KOA Campground! This campground provides a peaceful retreat in a truly remarkable setting, perched on the edge of Alaska's Kenai Peninsula. Gaze out across Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet with views of snow capped mountains, active volcanoes, fishing boats, surfacing whales and other wildlife. Hiking trails are just across the road. Downtown Homer is 3 miles away, filled with great restaurants, local art galleries and museums. We’ve stayed here over the last few years and absolutely love it. The views are incredible, the ground and facilities are great, and the team are fantastic. Always welcoming, super helpful, and very accommodating. Anyone looking to camp in Homer this is the best campground - can’t recommend enough! We were greeted with incredible views the minute we pulled into the campground. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The campground and facilities were always clean, with a big laundry room, separate shower rooms, additional restrooms, and a dish washing station. The site had a clean grill provided, BBQ tools, propane tank, a firepit, and a table with 4 very comfortable chairs. The wifi was strong and reliable. This campground was very quiet. If you're looking for a clean, quiet, beautiful camping experience...this is the one! We will 100% be back! Great place to camp. Staff is very friendly, grounds as well as bathrooms a laundry are SPOTLESS! The bathrooms have heated floors and are very clean, showers are great, laundry room is huge with plenty of washers and dryers, and the view is fantastic. Wifi was really good. It was quiet even though the campground sites along the main highway. There is a nice playground. They have plenty of tent sites as well as a cabin and some bunkhouses. If you are heading to Homer, this is the place to stay.
