These guys are great. They went out of their way to meet me. I was cruising by on my sailboat and needed a repair on a handgun..they came to meet me saving me more time.. they were prompt, knowledgeable and very fair prices… good to know there is someone in Juneau who can handle any gunsmith issues. Also very knowledgeable about local hunting.

I had an issue with my Sig P365 X-Macro where the slide got stuck because I didn’t have the takedown lever in the correct position while reassembling it. I first took it to Sportsman’s Warehouse, but unfortunately, they tried to hammer it, which only made things worse—scratching both the slide and trigger.
I then brought it to Nick at Alaska Gunsmithing, and he was able to fix it within minutes! He was very professional, communicated clearly, and explained exactly what had gone wrong and how he was going to fix it. His prices are very reasonable, and his expertise and attention to detail were top-notch.
I’d highly recommend Alaska Gunsmithing for any and all firearm-related issues. Great service, excellent communication, and a true expert in his field!

Outstanding service. They did a sight install job for me and their work is pro-grade. Nick and his team are awesome to work with, precise, and fast. Their prices are more than reasonable for the quality of work you receive. I highly recommend this business to anyone needing work done on their firearms. I will be going to them again for a cerakote job in the near future as this is their specialty. Thanks guys.

Nothing but greatness from this owner and his company. I have first hand seen the work that has come from this business and it is top notch. The level of care taken on the items, something as personal as one's firearm is not something they take lightly. It is apparent how much this business makes their customers feel respected and appreciated, and the quality of work speaks for itself.100% recommend to anyone wanting cerakote work done, or general work done on their firearms. What a great addition to the small businesses in Juneau!

Have known the owner for many years. Was pleased when I heard he’d gotten into the gunsmithing biz. I’ve known he is a hardcore outdoor, hunt fish type of guy. He’s done work on my pistols and set up a new 300 for me recently. First rate work, fair prices, and doesn’t take forever. Went to bat for me with Savage when he didn’t like their work and got them to square it away for me. Thanks man!

Alaska Gunsmithing has worked on several of my firearms, both long guns and hand guns. The expertise Nick has is second to none, I also appreciate that he's straightforward about what needs to be done and fair on pricing his services. I'm an enthusiast for fun and an avid sportsman myself, but also as a licensed Registered Hunting Guide in SE Alaska, my life can at times be dependent on my firearm and I trust Alaska Gunsmithing implicitly.

Do not expect a reliable quote or basic customer service. They also charge an unnecessary $25 for the optional transfer fee.
