“Treetop Tees was a fun little discovery in downtown Juneau. I was walking around with a friend who was specifically on a mission to stop here after discovering that their shirts were apparently some of the softest T-shirts around. That seemed like a pretty strong endorsement, so naturally I went in too.

They have a great selection of Alaska-themed shirts, clothing, and other items without the place feeling like just another generic souvenir shop. I was actually pretty tempted to buy something myself—which is saying something, since I generally try to avoid accumulating more stuff—but I managed to escape empty-handed this time.

Compared do some of the other mega-cruise ship oriented stores, this one feels a bit more home-town-y, and friendly and small. I have a bias towards this kind of shop and business in general.

The location is also excellent, right in a part of downtown Juneau where I’ve spent a lot of time: across from Deckhand Dave’s, near the Baranof Hotel, and close to the Indian restaurant. Somehow, despite wandering around this neighborhood plenty of times, Treetop Tees had never really been on my radar.

Now I’ve got another downtown Juneau stop to check out—and apparently a place to send anyone who takes the softness of their T-shirts very seriously.”

I appreciate finding clothing for all seasons all year round, whether I’m going to warmer climates or staying in Alaska and need to freshen up my wardrobe.”

“Met the founder of this wonderful store. She's an entrepreneur and immigrant from Peru. She wanted to bring the best of Peruvian culture, especially the alpaca art and science of clothing. The quality of the products is amazing, and they really keep one warm! Highly recommended for high quality warm clothing!”

“I cannot for the life of me fathom why there's a bedsheets retailer occupying the highest rent property on the Juneau pier. But the store was busy and for whatever reason people were buying sheets while on vacation. More power to 'em.”

“Looking for thicker coat here is where you will find it. It's extremely soft. Although I saw it during the summer ☀ time. I bet this would keep you warm. The owner was respectful. I had questions about the fabric. It's professional put together. If I remember correctly he works in the summer time and goes back home during the winters.”
