“This was my home away from home for 10 nights and I only have positive things to say about this beautiful hotel. From the moment I walked in I felt at home. The check in process was a breeze, even with having an early morning flight - they worked with me to check in. The room was immaculate, and cozy. I was surprised at how soft the bedding was and how comfortable the bed/pillows were. The laundry room on the ground floor was just as clean and welcoming. Every employee I encountered was very friendly and polite. I can tell attention to detail is priority at this hotel. When my week long trip turned into a longer stay, they were more than happy to extend my visit. I will recommend the Aspen Hotel to anyone who needs guidance in searching for a place to stay here. Everything you need is within a 10 minute walkRooms: Cozy rooms with refrigerator and Keurig coffee Brewer, direct TV service, and WiFi. HVAC units and hot showers. The basic needs. Not high tech. A bit outdated but its lack of modernization is easily overlooked by its customer service and friendly atmosphere.Safety: The front desk quickly responds to any calls from guests.Walkability: Everything is within a 10 to 15 minute walk from the motel. Very conveniently locatedFood & drinks: The uptown motel has an upscale restaurant in the main building directly next to the front desk and a bar in the adjacent building that caters to both luxury and leisureNoteworthy details: It is very conveniently located in the center of town and next to a trail, fairgrounds and a bluff overlooking the beach and the Kenai river. I would consider this location above others simply because of its convenient location and services as well as its pub and eatery. Customer service is above par and they do a great job with unwanted people. Just give the front desk a call.”

“If folks are worried about this place being too close to the airport noise wise, reconsider! Cozy clean rooms, fridge, micro, a REAL ROOM KEY! ? Quiet at night, and honestly I don't hear any planes because of the way the rooms are laid out? Wonderful hotel! “I like this place because I onced stayed here for business and then came here as a mini-vacation with my sister and cousin from the Midwest. The privacy is nice, the rooms are very nice. We were fortunate the first time to get the kitchen connecting rooms for the business trip but when I asked for it on the mini-vacay we were told we'd get it, were charged for it, but didn't get use of the kitchen. Still, the fireplaces and preparation work for them is amazing, views are amazing and I would definitely stay here again. Yes, there doesn't seem to be anyone "manning" the office but always someone on the grounds to check you in. In fact, I saw another post where the cleaning lady was helpful and so is the maintenance guy who chops the wood, preps the fireplace areas and also was able to get us into our rooms. All of the amenities are mostly closed since COVID but still an inviting place which we have chosen to have a training at and will be excited to have the run of the place then.”
