The Kenai Recreation Center, established in 1983 and run by the City of Kenai, offers many fitness and recreational activities in one place. It has weightlifting, pickleball, a full basketball court, racquet ball, and a workout room. The center is quiet with very low volume of people, and some community events or clubs may take place. Some machines are older and broken, but the ones that work are fine. It is a great spot for toddlers. The gym opens for Tot time, with toddler friendly movement toys, a bounce house, dress‑up clothes, slides, and more. There are also showers, a sauna, and lockers. Teenagers enjoy sports at the teen center, though parents sometimes stay outside in the cold. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. It is very cheap and offers no commitment. Members can pay a drop‑in rate or buy a punch card. The center is a good choice for families and young people who want a clean, affordable place to exercise.
Fairly decent place. I just stopped in for one day to work out. $5 was a steal when a drop-in free in California is like $20. They had an assortment of exercise equipment and the place was clean, but it wasnt a large gym. There were basketball courts as well and a sauna.
