Although like many places Home Depot is facing ongoing staffing turn over and shortages, the people at the Kenai HD are always very friendly, as helpful as they can be and if they can't find what you need they will do what they can to get customers taken care of the best they can.

The absolute worst customer service we have ever encountered in a Home Depot. If you call, they cut you off or send you to the wrong department. In store, help is scarce. Noticed some new hires there, and they were busy riding the carts instead of helping customers. We spoke to Wanda at the ProDesk who flat out lied about Anchorage being out of an item we needed. When we tried to get that item transferred (Anchorage DID have it in stock) from Anchorage to Kenai, Kenai refused to comply with the transfer to their store. Abysmal!! There doesn't seem to be even ONE person who cares to help customers.

Yesterday I waited in front of a custom blinds desk clerk for about 30 minutes while the she was on the phone. No acknowledgment that I was present, though standing 6'1" away. Other workers came into the desk area and out without any eye contact or awareness that I was there. I tried to move into her line of vision, but to no avail. Eventually I had to leave because of other things planned for my day. I really need some blinds ordered. Can the managers retrain the workers in customer awareness and service? When I go into that store I always look for Mike (long blonde hair) he is knowledgeable and will seek to help customers. Other workers I watch are texting on their personal cell phones, chatting with each other, and I've even caught a couple "hiding" and talking on cell phones. I wish mike worked in custom blinds.

I wanted to buy a refrigerator that they had on the floor and when I ask about getting it they said that it would be 6 to 8 weeks as it was a special order. Now who goes to Home Depot to order something in the future when you need it now? Not anybody I know and certainly not me. I went some where else to purchase a refrigerator and it will be delivered tomorrow. Not a good place to purchase appliances unless you were going to purchase in the far future.

Have to agree with the other posts. 2 years later and the dogs are still there. HUGE dogs and many of them, especially on the weekends. Love dogs, but not a fan of this at all. -My biggest issue with the store though, is that they NEVER answer the phone. Never! You could let it ring for hours and no one will ever pick up! I get the website thing; it mostly tells you what is in stock. But some items it literally tells you to call and ask. Well good luck with that friends!! Never any employees around to help, and if you go in to buy a light bulb you have to travel the entire length of the store to check out. Unless you're checking out lumber, there should be check outs on BOTH ends of the store. Usually when I do get there, I end up stuck behind people buying lumber.

This store should offer huge discounts because they clearly have no employees! I just paid over $500 for this lawn mower. No help was available to load it on from the aisle. Despite it being marked as a 2 person lift. Then after I checked out, sweaty and obviously by myself they offered NO ASSISTANCE to load!! Safeway will help you for far less!!! Consistent service....always BAD!

Have been calling for an hour (10am on a non-holiday weekday) and no one ever answers the phone. Half the time when I go in, it's after work in the 5-6pm range and you can barely find anyone to help; Place is like a ghost town. They never have any appliances, just the displays so you always have to order. Ordering shouldn't be a big deal since most of the time they are getting from other stores in Alaska and I've been told they have trucks coming at least twice a week from Anchorage. But somehow it still takes 2+ weeks to get it. Contractor order desk is always quite fully staffed though for the big money orders!! I certainly like having a Home Depot around but they could also do better!

Poor Customer Service For starters the customer service does provide things you would need for street legal trailers such as red flags, they don't provide a stapler to tighten the flags. This a potential no red flag ticket. Another good thing to know is that this Home Depot does not give any service or help to people. I was just there and experienced horrible help. We had picked up an order for 10 bags or 100 pound each bag of concrete and had no help putting any of it on the trailer. We then watched them help load less bags and lighter concrete onto a Thor persons trailer. We then were going to pick up and concrete mixer and the box was in horrible condition. The corners had holes, it was missing it's top, and barely held everything in the box itself. Overall I think if I could I would not give it any stars but since this is how it is my one star review is very well deserved and I will not be doing my business there any longer.

This store is an A-Ok one; not as big or fancy as some in other States. I have used this store during the past couple of years for my home projects and repairs. It has much of what one needs. It has helpful customer service staff, and knowledgeable staff. I usually check their website to see if they may stock any low demand tools, parts, or supplies that I'm looking for. If they have the item listed on their website, I can see the aisle and bin for the item that I'm shopping for; saves time when go to the store.

Kenai HOME DEPOT. The place they do not give a crap about their customers!! Two years ago, I actually wrote a concerned email to them regarding the over abundance of PETS in their dam store every time we go there. These are NOT service animals, apparently, dog owners seem to think this is a new dog park and they bring them in to walk around with them...I'm talking BIG dogs..not little ones. There is a huge problem here, as someone is going to get bitten. Not to mention, the absolute DISREGARD for everyone else shopping in the store, who are a little more respectful of their fellow customers by NOT bringing their FIDO into the store. Back when I officially reported it, I spoke to someone named Vincent in customer service in Anchorage who assured me it would be nixed and taken care of as their POLICES PREVENT DOGS FROM BEING in the store unless they are a service animal. Nothing has been done, and I am officially DONE with Home Depot. Folks have allergies, folks have issues with animals sometimes, and if they are wanting to go get lumber at their Home Depot Store, they are just made to deal with the stores laxidasical attitude regarding pets in the store. Hate to tell you, but this store is for PEOPLE not animals. Keep your pets in the car or at home!!! Unless Fido has a blue vest telling everyone they are a service animal, KEEP THEM AT HOME!!! The rest of us are sick of your disrespect by bringing a big dog to a store like that. Once I asked a checkout person what was with all the dam dogs in the store...I was sneered at and told " were a pet friendly store" ...NO your a lazy person who is NOT keeping up with the rules of the store you work for!!

I cannot believe the lack of customer service in this store. Numerous employees standing around in a huddle talking, customers waiting to be helped and no one cares. I waited over an hour to be helped and finally just left. I will never come back to this store. Unbelievable!

This store has gone downhill but since there's no choice in the area, why would they care? I see tons of people working there but whenever I need help they're busy chatting with each other or nowhere to be found. I am sitting in the parking lot right now because I can to return something and the guy in front of me, no kidding, is returning a full rolling cart plus another cart of stuff. Can they get another person to help me? Nope. This store is full of Americant's when it should have Americans. Fortunately I'm never coming back to this slacker area. Thank God.

It's Home Depot. They have everything. Good deals on tools, blades & bits. Good selection and prices on tile.
