Great location, pleasant staff,Except shower stalls are very small.Barely can stand in there.Very difficult for a tall person to stand under the shower head.Overall love the place. In life you cannot have everything. Cheers to the entire crew.

It is a great historical hotel right in the heart of downtown Ketchikan. It's also attached to a nice restaurant as well, so you can't go wrong with the location and the amenities it offers. I had a great stay, and I will most definitely be back on my next visit! Thank you...

No need for a vehicle if your staying local. This place is situated where all the action is at. Room has a small fridge, coffee, tea and water is located in a common area. Very historic furniture on the walkways. Restaurant Annabelles right next door had some delicious food. We only came to room when it was time to sleep. It's small but beautiful and functional with a computer desk.

Great location. Easy stop along our way to Thorne Bay. Service was excellent. Convenient location. Rooms are very clean, but also very small. Nice hotel for being so old.Nearby activities: Cruise ships parked literally across the street from the hotel. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

Pros:Great location in downtown KetchikanPart of WyndhamClean and comfortable room Cons:Beverage area on 2nd floor was constantly out of stuff - e.g. cold water, hot waterNo elevator Spotty front desk serviceOur room had a view of a brick wall - the other side is better I hearSink is next to the bed which was funnyThere was a ladder outside our door leading up to a mysterious hole in the wallPro tip:An affordable hotel within walking distance to most things downtown. If you can get past the oddities, it is a totally fine place for a short-term stay

It's clean, comfortable and cute! In the heart of Ketchikan! The stops for the free downtown shuttle loop are steps away (orange line). With easy access to all that is off the beaten path, as well. What really makes this place special, is the team at the Gilmore. They were able to accommodate a very early check in for some weary travelers. The concierge looked after us and kept tabs on my elderly father, for the day that he was on his own. He was continuing his trip further into Alaska with another family member, and made sure he got to the airport when a parade was right out the front door!Nearby activities: You can see a lot of Ketchikan by foot, from right here, I really loved the food at 108 Taphouse and Burger Queen! The Tongass Museum and Creek St are soo close. Catch the free shuttle to the Totem Heritage Center...my favorite for sure. Dad got a ride with seaplane tour and they picked him with their shuttle, across the street.Walkability: my 82 year old father with a bum knee was able to navigate the hotel and the neighborhood!

The Gilmore hotel is a beautiful, very old hotel, in the heart of downtown Ketchikan. The staff is very nice and the rooms are beautifully clean. I have stayed twice and I’m excited to go back. ask for an ocean view room, it is worth it.Rooms: The beds at the Gilmore are the most comfortable on the island!

This is not a fancy 5 star hotel. It is a clean and nice hotel. I had the ocean view room. Though the view was nice the traffic sound all day and all night prevents you from getting a good night sleep. Window's closed still loud. Not to mention the bar next door. Annabelle is right next door so food is there. Great walking location to all of downtown. Bo elevators.

Good location in downtown right next to cruise ship docks. Easy quick check in. Small but good clean rooms. Sourdough cab company contracts with them so you can get a free ride to and from airport (ferry dock to airport)The only negative I have about the room is it is small and was pretty hot. Turned on fan and opened window. Not a big deal at all. Was hot for those lower 48ers. Everything was good though!

We had a great view from our room. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again next time I visit Ketchikan.

Heather the housekeeper and the morning front desk ladies were kind, efficient, and went above and beyond for us during our stay.Nearby activities: Right in the center of downtown! Couldn’t be a more convenient location.

The price of the stay was kind of expensive and my room hadn't finished being maintained but the people we're nice and seemed pretty industrious

My grandmother retired from this hotel, decades ago, so staying here during my vacation did have a purpose. The hotel is in a good location downtown, but at the same time, being next to the Totem, is not maybe for everyone.Rooms were very old, like a step back in time. The bedding and towels were super clean and the room was fresh. My only complaint is that I told them when I checked-in, I am military on orders and I do not pay lodging tax. Unfortunately, when it came time to depart, I was charged lodging tax anymore, something that I have e-mailed them numerous times about, and I have still not been refunded, although they say that it was supposed to be done.I would stay here again, for the rooms, if I knew there wouldn't be issues with being overcharged.
