Sold me gold plated after I distinctly asked if it was solid.It was the Omega necklace that several other people also bought...see below...Norwegian Cruise Line allowed this company on the ship but has refused any help with the situation.Btw, they do not respond to the bogus email they keep telling people they will resolve their issues if you contact them that wayTotal fraud!

Purchased a very expensive diamond ring when my husband and I visited Alaska. 2 diamonds fell out within 2 weeks *Contacted Monarch and they said they would take care of it. Send me a package to repair. I have never received the shipping package. I want full refund. Now nobody will even respond to my emails and nobody answers the phone. Next step Better Business Bureau? Any advice? Terrible service!

No one has taken better care of their customer than Monarch Jewels' owner, Vinay. He personally worked with me for an entire day to find the absolute best piece of jewelry for me - a piece that 7 other jewelers told me was 'not possible, such a thing is not obtainable' - perhaps they all meant that they are just not as well established and connected as he is? Vinay has been in the industry his entire life, and runs the most impressive jewelry operation I have ever seen. He keeps it a small operation on purpose. While he could clearly expand and become any other chain jeweler, he refuses to in order to maintain the right kind of modus operandi: 100% customer focused, and the prices reflect it. This industry is all about who you know, and who you can trust. I can vouch for Monarch Jewels.

Andrew was excellent. He made a recommendation that made my order complete.He called to confirm my order and kept me updated on every step of the way. Truly excellent customer service. Items received as advertised and were at the best price anywhere! I will definitely buy from Monarch again, no complaints.

Very high pressure sales people. In June I bought matching pendant, earrings and ring. The chain broke within days. I was told they would send me a new one and it is now September and still no new chain after MANY phone calls to them they say they will call me back or send me status information but never do I have to keep calling them. I also sent them back the broken chain and still have nothing from them. I wouldn’t purchase from them again

July 12th I purchased a gold necklace. I do not seem to have a problem with that at this time. You receive a blue free pendent and you can buy matching earrings for $10. I get back to the ship (Royal Caribbean) and I see that they gave me earrings that were damaged, missing a stone. Yeah it’s just $10 so I didn’t sweat it much just want to tell you to look at your items closely before leaving the store. It’s high pressure sales too. Of course the cheaper items they sale are to lure you into the store to try and pressure you to buy their more expensive stuff. The guy dealing with me was high pressure which almost became a turn off. He assumed I wanted the items he was trying to sale me just because it was pretty. I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman. I know what I want and how much I need to spend or not spend. I have my priorities in line. They assume you will be attracted to their payment plan options as if you can’t live without that piece of Jewelry.

Would not trust the jewelry they sell is worth what you pay for it. I bought a ring. I was wearing my “stupid” sign that day. Shame on me. I would advise you to run not walk away as fast as you can. They are professional con artists. No stars!

This jeweler misrepresented their product to me. I purchased a gold diamond pendant and was told it was 14K gold, however the gold has rubbed off so clearly it was gold plated. It was not worth nearly what I paid for it. They lied and misrepresented so DO NOT TRUST THEM> I bought at the Juneau location but they are owned by the same people in Alaska. So disappointed.

I found the selection of fine jewelry at Monarch Jewels to be extensive. I was looking for an engagement ring and I had plenty of options to choose from. I was not pressured and all my questions were answered to narrow it down to the ring I wanted. I highly recommend Monarch.

High pressure sales and they substantially overcharge for their jewelry. Purchased 2 items but receipt did not reflect price of each item. I was distracted to other side of store and they convinced my husband to purchase both rings I was looking at. Both were about 1200 in every other jewelry store we visited. The total for both was 5400 and that was the only price listed on the receipt. We got taken. Their return policy is no returns unless tags are still on the jewelry but they cut off the price tags when they sold them to us so we had no way to return them and no reference for the price paid for each ring.

We have bought several pieces of jewelry from them over the years. I have no complaints. I had the rings appraised by my local Jewler. He valued them more than I paid for. I do not know anywhere else I can get a perfect 6 carat tanzanite with yellow diamonds. They are pushy. You just need to stand your ground. We will buy from them next year when we go on a cruise.

Stopped in their shop in Juneau and were very pleased with our purchase and their service. Also stopped in Ketchikan and had my ring resized without any problems. Even made another purchase for my wife. Can't say enough good things about Emma and her staff at both locations.
