Had a sign outside that said free pendant with restrictions, I attempted to get the heavy-set man’s attention behind the jewelry counter but he was too busy playing on his phone to notice at first, after getting his attention I asked how to get the free pendant. To which he rudely responded “get an adult to come in with you and try on a piece of jewelry”. I am 23 years old, once I informed him of that he just demanded “well try something on” I was frustrated enough at the complete lack of customer service and people skills I decided to leave and take my business somewhere it’s appreciated.

Thank you for helping my wife and I pick our souvenir, Aruzhai. We had a great time at Ketchikan (via cruise) and left with a smile on our face. Great customer service and friendly staff!

Wonderful deals! Downside: the cruise lines own this store; so it’s not supporting local businesses that thrive on tourism.

The stickers on their windows that we can see from the cruise ship are misleading. They said they have donuts so I told my 4 year old that he got donuts for breakfast. We get all the way down there and they didn't even know if they had donuts and they didn't. We walked to a local coffee shop/bakery and had some yummy treats. They weren't concerned that their windows were misleading and messed up our morning.

Mixed service in the store. One bad seed rots the tree. A young female cashier had the foulest attitude while serving my family during our visit to Kechikan. Despite spending approx. USD60 in the souvenir shop, the cashier refused to help to change small coins 🪙. Stating the shop "policy" prevented her from doing so. When we were also unable to identify which American coins were suitable to meet the desired amount, she refused to help identify the coins, then grumbled when we were struggling to identify it. Pathetic.

This is a souvenir shop by berth 1. If you can think it, you can probably find it here. A lot of the brands and items can be found at the other stores around Ketchikan, with prices being both better and worse an the other stores as well. In other words, don't expect lower prices just because it has the word "outlet" in the name.

The Miners Gems in The Outlet had horrible customer service, and it was quite disappointing to see such rude service. We had collected a coupon book since being on the cruise and made our way to the outlet for a charm. When I asked, the lady was rude and gave an attitude towards multiple people, then proceeded to mock a mother after confronting her rude behavior.

It's ok. I actually have found that a lot of places called "outlet" are more than regular stores- such was the case here. But that didn't stop people from loading up. As long as folks are happy. We found better deals in other stores (and better products).

I visited this store in Ketchikan, Alaska to buy some souvenir items and purchase a coffee. The sales ladies are extremely helpful and friendly. It’s right in front of the port. If you’re buying souvenir items, I highly recommend this place. Their prices are reasonable and affordable.

I spent too much for a silver whale with touch of 24k gold . Should have spent 25.00. Some stores give you a silver whale tail for free. Not Miner’s Gems. I Wish I had not made a purchase sty Miner’s Gems.
