The ER nurses and staff were pleasant and kind. Once I was moved to the floor I didn’t receive the same kind of care. The bedside manner at this hospital is too laid back. Today 9/29/23 I needed to reach out to the case manager Sarah when I spoke with the case manager the first time right after leaving the hospital. My job needed for me to speak back with the case managers because I had paperwork that needed to be filled out. I left a message on Sarah voicemail then I called twice where she was clearly monitoring her calls. When she finally answered her phone her statement was she was in a meeting. Who answers the phone during a meeting just call the customer. Common sense would tell you the patient has additional questions and concerns. I’m guessing two calls in one day for her is overwhelming. She never returned my call. I’m hoping her boss will read this and address it. In all of my years of working I have never seen so many people in one place nonchalant and floating on air. It like no care in the world. You truly have to love helping people, customer service and having a passion for caregiving. The hospital/ medical field and people lives you never want to be down playing. After what I’ve seen it appears this facility has a lot of people coming from all over the USA . When all else fails at PeaceHealth Medical Facility then those same people will find somewhere else to work.

This hospital has the most incompetent staff I have ever seen. It’s almost scary being a patient here because you don’t even know if they are going to take care of you properly. The staff is completely under trained and this has been the worst experience of my life. If I could fly to a better hospital I would. The staff is rude and loud and does not care about the well being of their patients. They should truly be ashamed of themselves and whoever runs the show here needs to step up the hiring process and training process.

The night doctor yesterday almost got me killed by clearing me from the hospital with full blown appendicitis, if I would have gotten on my plane I would have died. Thats how bad this place is, if you have the opportunity to go elsewhere, I highly recommend that.

NEVER EVER GO HERE OR YOU WILL PASS AWAY. People who work here should be ashamed. No doctors only nurse who doesn't even trust what you're feeling. No labs, just guessing by your looks. HORRIBLE

Doctors diagnosed me with health problems but the doctors didn't provide me a treatment plan to cure my health problems the doctors diagnosed me of. I don't recommend their patient services. Their services are not good, poor, and not friendly.

I was sent to the ER by a very concerned doctor. The ER doctor wouldn't do any labs tests or help of any kind. My piss has been dark brown for days. And they wouldn't even give IV fluids. I've been so sick for 4 days my doctor said she thinks I have pneumonia. The ER doctor couldn't be bothere to do her job and check me out or help me in any way. This place is a joke and that ER doctor needs fired.

Coming from Seattle I never imagined there would be a hospital with such lack of empathy for others and care for patients. I went into the ER five times in two weeks with chronic pancreatitis and was sent away every time except admitted for one day to help with pain. I was then pushed by them to discharge the following morning even though I was still in major pain. No retesting was done until the 5th time I visited and each time I visited each doctor found something different in the original cat scan. No one was ever on the same page. Multiple nurses had made comments about how pain isn’t going to kill me and basically it’s painful and I’m just gonna have to deal with my level 10 pain…a total lack of empathy for patients. I had to ask my nurse three times for a blanket as the room was extremely cold. A COMPLETE JOKE. When I called KIC to follow up since they are my primary they had told me it’s not the first time they heard things about Peace Health at this point if you want help just go somewhere else. You will wait forever to even see a doctor and the nurses could care less in the ER. It’s real fun hearing them laugh and giggle why you are in agony waiting for some sort of relief. Might be time to find a new job if you are so unhappy as patients should feel safe in the hospital. I dread coming here but unfortunately it’s the only option :( I hope they realize people are in pain and don’t deserve to leave feeling worse than when they entered.

If I could rate this hospital with zero star, I would! I was given the phone number to their “Hotline To The Heart” where you don’t get a person and you must leave a voicemail. Their message says that all concerns/comments are important and their desire is to resolve issues promptly; they also say that it’s a confidential voicemail that is checked twice daily and phone calls will be returned within 24-48 hours! Well, all of what they say are absolutely not true and the complete opposite! Might as well get rid of your hotline since you refuse to resolve issues! I have called numerous times and left 3 voicemails on 3 separate days to share my concerns and many days have past and I still have not received a call back! I was calling to share my family’s terrible experience with ER nurse, Shelly in Ketchikan on 09/20/2022. Shelly was very insulting towards my Mom - her only business should be to take care of patients, not run her mouth about things she should not be talking about, like she knows people’s personal lives! I know nurses are under a lot of pressure but they must remain professional for the people under their care and the family/friends of their patients. Thank goodness now we have another medical facility that provides urgent care services and I have shared this with my family and friends to not go to Peacehealth unless it’s their only choice because the other place has limited medical equipment. I would rather fly to Seattle or other nearby places for appointments that other local places cannot handle just to avoid going to Peacehealth! One more very important concern which needs to be taken care of ASAP: a lot of their employees need HIPAA training! Why? They like to gossip about their patients! Please be aware that no matter what other languages you speak, there are people who can understand you even though you think they don’t speak the language! This needs to stop ASAP!

Complete joke. Long wait times, inability to provide any meaningful help. Was discharged while blood dripped from my head. Waited 3 hrs to be told they would provide ZERO help; instead tried to tell me how to take Tylenol. Nurses were very helpful. The "doctor" Bradley is incompetent.

Poor customer service, long wait times if you want to see them. The lady told me if I really needed to see someone, call 911. What a joke.

I just want to give a shout out to the ER department for lastnight! I had to bring my son in and it ended up being a dislocation of his shoulder ! The scariest thing I’ve had to experience seeing my son in that much pain and the procedure! The nurses , respiratory and doctor did amazing at answering my questions and my sons questions and explaining everything step by step and got him help fast! I don’t remember the nurses names but one and his name is Matt nor the respiratory guy but he was amazing! And Dr. Kirchner successfully set his arm back in place
