This is the best and most trusted jewelry store in the US. My mother has bought the most exquisitely made and designed rings, bracelets and even some loose stones. Their designs are exquisitely created and made by hand by the owner - Sapna.Their gorgeous jewelry pieces always come with a certificate proving the incredible quality of the stones they use. Monarch Jewel's designs are like nothing I've ever seen before.I refer Monarch Jewels to everyone I know and they are always so happy with their purchases.

Watch was priced at $595, watch online and on cruise was $265. Beware! Response to jeweler: The price was from a large retailer, even the price on Citizen was $380 though. I did not purchase because of the pushy salesman.

Horrible people. All fake! Impossible to reach after you leave port. This is a quick stop on my cruise, maybe for most? Very predatory. Lies. I wouldn't stop at any of the stores facing the water after this. Maybe I wouldn't shop here period. Shame on the city of Ketchikan for apparently letting this go on year after year.

My wife and I were shopping for Tanzanite Earrings. She found a pair of stones she liked but they were set in a mounting with a small diamond. It wasn't what she wanted to Soni offered to reset them into a mounting without the diamonds. We agreed and left the store to continue our sight seeing. Upon pick up we didn't have a lot of time to inspect them but I didn't like the way they were mounted. They took then back to the jeweler to fix them but we had to get back to the ship and were out of time. They knew that we were pressed for time and I believe we were scammed right there. Upon closer inspection I didn't think the stones were the same as the stones we looked at. THEY WERE NOT! They were mismatched, not even the same size and not set in the mounting correctly. It was a hassle to return them. We Chased them to Florida with the help of Master Card. We did finally get the refund after paying $30 to ship them to Alaska where they refused them and then to Florida. I would steer clear. They are sketchy at best. Stay with the companies that partner with your ships. They have clout and can put pressure on the business to make it right if you are not happy.

The salesman who attended to us was a fabulous & a very polite salesman as he was able to convince my husband (Who usually hates shopping) to buy a pendent which he said was genuine Tanzanite, My husband was carried by his amazing sales talk. I was not too keen, but felt compelled as my husband wanted to buy something for me.. The piece of jewelry is beautiful, so I will keep it. I have not got it tested but I wonder if it is genuine after reading the reviews. Feel disappointed. In any case I live so far away I cannot get it changed. So be careful about buying jewelry from stores not recommended by the ship. It was by chance we came across this shop, as we stopped by to ask the way.

Fake. Fraud. Liars, cheats, and thieves. Bought a "diamond" ring. It's fake. Have had it appraised by an independent certified gemologist and Soni is still claiming I am suffering buyer's remorse. No. Suffering stupidity. Run away. Don't fall for it. Shop local.

Bought an emerald necklace with a gaurentee of authenticity with appraisal while on a cruise. Got home and found it to be fake. Once pointed out it was easy to see. Salesman even was telling us about how to notice fakes... What a scammer. Beware of this establishment. To think they had retail price of $4200 for a maybe $42 costume jewelry... I do have phone number of salesman... He had already stalled once. Waiting for options and investigating ways of filing complaints and charges. Lucky I know some professionals in Alaska that might be able to help. Stay away from anything Soni...

I would give a zero if possible! We bought Tanzanite stud earrings. The stones were in another pair of earrings with diamonds but I only wanted studs. They told me they would take the Tanzanite stones out and mount into plain 14kt white gold mounting. My husband picked up with just enough time to get back on the cruise ship so he didn't inspect them very closely. When he showed them to me on the ship it was obvious that they were different stones. They did not even match! When we called at the next port they said they would fix and would email us. They didn't. We called them when we got home and they admitted they used different stones. They offered to make it right but when we sent the earrings back they refused to sign for the delivery! Thankfully we paid on a credit card so I have disputed the charge as a fraudulent transaction. Another jeweler even told us the stones were fake! I should have done business with a jeweler guaranteed by the cruise ship! What a nightmare!

My husband and I were on an Alaskan cruise and Ketchikan was our first port. We were looking for Tanzanite earrings. I just wanted small studs to wear in my second ear piercing. I have 1 carat total weight diamond studs that I wear daily and just wanted small studs to accent the diamonds. Soni was not part of the "recommended" jewelers that the cruise line partners with, but they are locally owned and I felt comfortable with them. They were very nice. The stones we looked at were set with diamonds but they said they would take out the Tanzanite stones and reset them in 14kt white gold. We were to pick them up in a few hours before the ship was set to leave Ketchikan. My husband picked them up with just enough time to get back to the ship so he didn't inspect them very closely. When he showed them to me back on the ship I immediately noticed that they were different sizes! They didn't match! We called Soni at the next port and at the time they said that they would email us with how they would make it right but we never got an email. When we got home we called and they offered to make us new earrings with the original stones, so they admitted that they didn't use the stones we had chosen to begin with! We returned the earrings by registered mail but they refused to sign for them! Thankfully we paid by credit card so we have disputed the charge as a fraudulent transaction! We should have used a jeweler that the cruise line recommended! What a nightmare! The credit card company is investigating our claim. We showed the earrings to another jeweler who said they were fake! I would recommend only doing business with Jewelers who partner with the cruise line. That way if there is a problem the cruise line will stand behind them and you won't have to go through what we are going through!
