Great yarn shop!! High quality name-brand yarns, needles, etc and Alaska-dyed yarns as well. A really great selection and the gal working today was so exceptionally nice and accommodating. I wish we had a place like this in the larger town we live in but alas we only have big-box stores. A very short walk from the Safeway bus stop and there is a shuttle stop across the street at the west flight building. We traveled here from the NCL cruise terminal at ward cove. Thank you thank you!!

Found the shop a couple of blocks north of Dock 4 in Ketchikan. What a lovely hidden gem with the most welcoming owner meeting us at the door, leaving us to browse her wonderful array of yarn. Small samples of all types of product everywhere (easier to imagine what it will look like made up) & she was there to answer all our questions. Lots of local dyed yarns as well as “yarns from all around the world’! Best experience ever‼️

A wonderful shop, just the right distance from the cruise docks.Deborah was warm and engaging. She made sure my husband was well settled in the husband waiting chair, and then I was able to bask in her undivided attention and knowledge. She took the time to explain a new fiber art to me, showed me examples, give me a through run down of where I should start, and what to look for as I progressed in skill. She is extremely well versed in both her stock and the differences and benefits of different fibers. She was also particularly good and finding the right level of detail to explain and speaking to me on my level based on my current knowledge. I understand her shop also hosts classes and I can imagine that they would be an amazing venue to learn in if my interaction was anything to go by.This will be my beeline destination in Ketchikan going forward. And I suspect my online destination too, as the website is top-notch.Run, don't walk, to visit Untangled!!!

What a treat! A leisurely walk away from the cruise port, this gem is worth getting your steps in! A talented and thoughtful shop owner shared her love for hand dyed, and superbly yummy fiber along with beautiful patterns. I’m excited to create with the treasures I found at Untangled Yarn and Fiber?

All throughout the trip to Alaska, I have been looking for Alaskan yarn. I finally found it at Untangle Yarn and Fiber! Beautiful colors! Wonderful textures! High prices. While I found what I was looking for, I didn't purchase it because pricing didn't meet expectations.

Wonderful shop! Larger than I expected based on the location & street view, but once inside felt as if I could get lost in all the beautiful fibers, some spun and/or dyed by local artists. Deborah, the owner, was there both times I stopped in & was very knowledgeable (but never pushy or hovering) about the gorgeous local and larger scale high-end quality yarns she carries. Shibui & Madelintosh are just two larger brands I remember seeing. I was surprised at the wide range of quality yarn given Ketchikan's remote location. Did I already say GORGEOUS selection!! Definitely worth visiting when in town & maybe even a reason to make a trip to Ketchikan!
