My friends and I had a great time clam digging this weekend on the charter with Captain Bryan and his son Hunter. It was also my first time getting tractor launched. The 90-minute boat ride to the clamming spot was enjoyable, albeit a bit chilly for someone like me who tends to get cold easily. I would suggest bringing a down jacket and a windbreaker to keep warm. Additionally, I took some dramamine as a precaution, although the seas turned out to be calm and pleasant.Once we arrived at the clamming spot, we had to wait for the tide to go out before we could start our digging. The weather couldn't have been better, with clear skies and stunning views of Mt. Iliamna and Mt. Redoubt in the background. The charter provided the buckets and clam guns with a quick instruction for us newbies. Just make sure you have your own totes with lids in your car for the sloshy drive back home.Everyone in the group got their 10-gallon limit of clams. Whew, that's a lot of clams to clean, but they have a tutorial on their Youtube channel if you don't know how to do it.Before we headed back, they rinsed out all of the buckets and filled them with saltwater to get the clams to start cleaning themselves out.Overall, I highly recommend this clam digging charter. I had a great time with my friends and got to try something new.

You can tell Bottom Line Charters is a well established business with the greatest knowledge of the halibut fishery and ecosystem of the Cook Inlet. Captain Brian and Captain Ernie are the best in the business. We caught some giant halibut on our trip! Will be fishing with BLC again.

I got the pleasure of doing the Bear Viewing charter. AMAZING. To say the least. I really wasn't sure what to expect, I'd have to say, I was a little nervous the night before. Captain Brian put me at ease as soon as I boarded the boat. He had a calm, relaxing tone explaining what we can and cannot do. He was very knowledgeable of the area we were and answered all the questions everyone had without skipping a beat. I would definitely recommend Bottom Line Charters for your Bear Viewing Adventures. Oh and, our poor Captain, the tide was way out. Brian had to walk to the boat to get the dingy to give us a ride back to the boat. (pictures below) I couldn't believe it! Talk about above and beyond!

I fished with Bottom Line and they are the real deal. First, I did not have "group" to fill the boat, I am a single fisherman. They accommodated me and paired me up with other singles and couples. Brian is a seasoned captain but was one of the most patient and caring captain I have fished with. I have a ton of experience fishing and also have my captains license. I book fishing charters all over the world. Sometimes you have a crew that can catch fish, but are rude or have no personality. Well with Bottom Line you get the best of everything a caring group that knows how to catch fish. I recommend them no matter what your fishing experience is.

Ernie (the captain) and his deckhand made fishing easy. If one is willing to listen to the captain, he will tell you exactly what to do make the halibut fishing productive. Here's how the schedule of the day went. 430 am - met them at their house, about a five minute drive from the All Seasons Campground (RV, tent sites, and cabins). They took our bags and loaded them on the boat, which was smart so we didn't have to worry about that at the boat launch. 4:40-5:00 - drove to the boat launch. The boat launch had a lady with free coffee and breakfast burritos. There was one port-o-potty at the boat launch. 5:15ish - launch. This is a cool process. Have fun!We took about a 40 minute ride out.6ish - lines dropped. Took a while for the fish to start biting, but once they did, we all got our over 28 inches. The captain and deck hand stood by to bait hooks, grab fish, and handle tangled lines. Story time: The current was about 2.5 knots and our lines got tangled bringing the big one (82 pounds) up. Ernie grabbed a harpoon like contraption and stick it through the fish in between untangling things to make sure we didn't lose the fish. By 9 am we had our big fish so we headed to a chicken hole and got four more fish. Currents were pretty crazy so we called it after about 90 minutes. We were back to Bottom Line Charters by 12:15. They filleted and vacuum sealed all our fish (for a very reasonable cost AND of you check in on here, there's 10% of this service). All said and done by 2 pm. Would 100% use again.

My favorite charter in town. Ernie and Brian are seasoned captains who do there best to get clients on the fish. Won't disappoint.

Second charter for halibut with Bottomline. What a great experience and limited out both times. The Kirby father and son operation has it altogether. They are patient with “newbies”, safety conscious, and get results. Wouldn’t consider any other charter company. Bottomline is “THE BEST”!

We happened upon them by accident while looking for a another fish processor. They were friendly, accommodating and more competitively priced than others. We needed a quick turnaround and they were ready on demand. Would definitely recommend.

Bottom Line Charters, you have done it again. Exceeded our expectations! We fished with you last year and had a great time, so we followed suit this year and it was amazing. Ernie and Bryan took great care of us! We highly recommend and will be seeing them again in future adventures.

Went out two times this year with Captain Bryan and crew Dennis. Both times I was able to catch my max and come home with enough halibut to fill my freezer. The tractor launch is very exciting. Bryan knows exactly where to catch the fish and how to get them on the line.Went with 5 friends who now want to make this event happen annually. Thanks Bryan and Dennis for a wonderful time out on the water.I'm now enjoying my halibut dinners here in Kona, Hawaii.

Excellent charter fishing! Ernie and Brian are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and focused on safety and finding the best catch. We got an early start and immediately started pulling in halibut. The guys were very friendly and provided great instruction, and they gave us realistic expectations. By 9:30 a.m. our group had tagged out, and we were lucky enough to bring in a 120 lb halibut! We will absolutely return for another trip. Thanks again!

I’ve never been on an ocean charter before, but they couldn’t have made it a better experience! Brian and Ernie were amazing and walked me through a type of fishing I’ve never tried! So patient and knew exactly where the perfect spot was to get each type of fish. I can’t wait to go back and try some other types of charters they offer. I had a blast!

Bottom Line is by far the BEST charter I’ve ever been on! Brian & Ernie know exactly where to go to get fish. They’re great at teaching you how to catch and easy to work with. It was myself, my husband and my daughter and we had a BLAST and we have a freezer full of Ling cod, Yellow Eye & Black Bass!
