Whimsy has some of my favorite t-shirt/sweatshirt labels - ALL ALASKAN BRANDS - octopus ink, Ak starfish co. and my favorite Mountains & Mermaids! They carry a full line of Alaskan made DENALI DREAMS bar soaps, lotions for ladies/men and dogs too. The store is full but doesn’t seem cluttered because the owner has everything in themed areas, new merchandise every week so I visit regularly. This is an excellent stop for tourists and for my gift giving.

Cute shop right across the way from Vagabond Blues. I liked the clothes and knicknacks. There is a section for kids. Lots of locally made things, which I like. Would come again after a cup of coffee from VB.

I guess you could call this place a gift shoppe. (That's how it is advertised). But it feels more like a mini department store (minus appliances and that kind of stuff). There is everything from lotions, to Alaska clothing, to puzzles and toys. There are fuzzy and comfy looking socks. They have lip balm and magnets, soaps and all sorts of coffee cups. There are cute signs, snarky signs, and everything in between. I even saw a mini zen garden. (I may go back for that soon, so I'm not telling you it's cozy location). It dawned upon me today that this is where I need to go when I need a gift, but I'm not sure what to get. It doesn't seem to matter the age of the person. There is something for everyone. The space is bigger than the humble entrance leads you to believe. It is clean, organized and well put together. There aren't multiple sellers curating the collection, which means someone has excellent taste. Plan at least 15-20 minutes to give it a thorough walk around!

Great friendly service, been shopping here for years. The prices are expensive, although they have lots of unique items. They sell a lot of Alaskan designs, made by local artists. Which is great. Perfect place too go Christmas shopping!
