Bay Traders True Value is a store for both local folk and tourists. It is like the Walmart of Seward, as there are no separate hardware, clothing, or sporting goods stores in the area. The store has everything, spread across two floors. It carries items for household needs, including gear for pets, RVs, boats, camping, and working. It also has fishing gear, accessories, licensing, and guided trips. Shoppers can find warmer clothes, Christmas shirts, rubber boots for the ice, and knit caps. There are some 50% off items in the store. The staff is very pleasant, sweet, and provides great customer service. The store is enjoyable to visit, though shoppers should save up as it can be pretty spendy.
Took advantage of checking out their binoculars and had excellent help by a young guy with short hair that had a hat on and glasses. He knew a lot about binoculars. We ended up buying a pair and are so happy with them!

Great hardware store, we traveled to one of the local campgrounds and needed a longer water hose. Luckily True Value was here because they had the hose in stock. They also stock fishing gear and clothing.
