“*Winter kayak tour in Seward*
After a last minute cancellation to our plans with a different your company, our group of 8 was scrambling to find something fun to do on New Year's Eve in Seward. We called several companies and we're disappointed to hear that no one would offer us tours during that week. Then Miller's Landing answered!
This was their first winter kayak trip of the season, but you wouldn't know it by how seamless the experience was. They had all the gear ready to go for us when we arrived and were patient as we acclimated to the dry suits. Our your guide Ron was an absolute delight--conversational, funny, knowledgeable! We spent hours on the water observing wildlife and the beautiful scenery. Ron made us some coffee and hot chocolate on the beach down the way as we took a short hiking pit stop to view some seals. And when we returned to the clubhouse, Abby and the chef had a truly delicious and freshly prepared lunch for us! They were even able to accommodate our gluten-free friend. And after heading home, we received an album of photos taken by Ron during our trip.
Truly an unforgettable experience!”
“During a 12 day trip throughout Alaska, our family stayed at 5 different hotels and this was our favorite. Spacious rooms/bathrooms, clean, friendly staff who cared and great morning breakfast. Would stay here again, no question.”
“The rustic style rooms are neat, clean, and well maintained. A bit outside Seward, but there is a regular shuttle bus with very friendly drivers.
The staff offered to wake us if the aurora was visible. Best 4am wake up call we've ever had!”
“Such a great Inn. It's pretty small, only 8 rooms. There's an upper deck in each room with 2 mattress. They serve fresh breakfast. It's close to the bay as well.”

“Stayed in the RV park part of the resort. Everything was just absolutely. Great staff. Only thing that is needed is better Sewage transfer parts. Plan on going back again”
“We stayed here for a couple nights and it was good. Frankly, most of the rooms do not have a view of the harbor due to other buildings that have been built in the way, but it wasn't a big deal to us. Coffee is provided, but no food. The room had a bit of a strange odor, but we didn't notice it after a while and the room appeared clean. We loved the location. We walked to our boat tour and a restaurant for dinner. This place has its own parking lot so that was great, and the front desk lady was nice at check in. It looks like the outside was recently updated.”

“Very clean and adequate room with refrigerator. Good location with a short walk to the Seward Harbor area and a 20 minute drive to the Kenai Fjords Exit Glacier trailhead. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful reception (Diana). It was a minimalist facility, so there is no exercise room or guest laundry, but it was not a problem. It has a quaint 24 hour coffee room adjacent to the check-in lobby. My group enjoyed our stay here.”
“The staff was wonderful and the room I had was more than I expected. Close to everything I wanted to visit in the Kenai Peninsula
Nearby activities: Hiking and walking trails”

“Really enjoyed staying at this little gem right in downtown Seward. It Isa very short walk to all the best downtown Seward drinking and dining options. Super squeaky clean, and it appears to have been recently refreshed. Excellent staff at this hotel.
Food and drinks: You're just a several minute walk from all the downtown bars and restaurants.”

“This place isn’t nearly as bad as all the one star reviews make it seem. It’s not the Hilton, but it’s Seward, Alaska. Should you be expecting the Hilton? It’s an old historic hotel. It’s nothing flashy or fancy. We stayed here while visiting Alaska for my 50th state. I only point this out so you’re aware I’m well traveled and this wasn’t my first vacation, lol. It was worth the price ($316) for two nights vs the airbnb prices, which were nearly twice as much in late September (shoulder season), lots of seasonal shops already closed or closing for the year. We also stayed in Talkeetna, Anchorage and Homer on the trip. This was the worst accommodations we stayed at, but I write this as an honest and fair rebuttal to the numerous 1 star reviews that make it sound absolutely awful. I would give it 4 or 5 stars if the water was warmer in the shower, but it’s tolerable and not cold, just lukewarm. If a place to sleep is all you’re seeking at an affordable rate, I’d say go for it.
It needs a little love. Scraping the front of the building and repainting it would do wonders.”
“Great room, can’t be cleaner. The noise isolation is perfect for our room on the top floor. Very quiet in the evenings.
Rooms: Great room. Very clean and very quiet.
Food and drinks: Breakfast is okay. Given it’s free, I think it’s fine.”
