Went out on the Perseverance with Captain Jake and Kevin yesterday. I had an amazing time! They were good humored, professional, hardworking, and accommodating of all levels of experience. They made sure everyone got at the bare minimum, two halibut and two rockfish, and knew exactly where to go and how to make that happen. I loved that they cleaned and fileted the fish on board and were open to teaching the proper way to do the process if people asked. I also noticed how watchful and helpful they were with one lady who had mobility issues. They made sure she was safe and had the help she need when she stumbled before it became a problem. They also quietly made sure she was included when she wanted to be throughout the entire day. Made a positive impression on me to see that level of care for each person on board. Had an awesome time and will absolutely ask to go out with them again.

My husband and son had the best time on their half day salmon charter! I cannot recommend the fish house enough, it was seamless, easy to find the boat & they had a blast and caught 5 salmon total! We will be back next year!

We had a private charter on 8-9-25 with captain Koby. Had our limit of salmon in less than an hour. Switched over to halibut, same results! Koby knew where the fish were and how to get them! We were able to catch two large ling cod as a bonus as well. A full day trip turned out to be about a half day with everyone catching their limits. Boat was well equipped and Koby was very professional. Highly recommend these guys!

Capt Rye put us on some quality Salmon, Halibut, and Rock Fish. What a memorable trip for my friends and I. He cleaned the fish and provided quality fillets after the trip…. and joined us for a nice pic to boot. Our wives caught fish as well but struggled with the big sea rollers of Alaska.
The halibut gear was top notch. The salmon gear could use a few reel upgrades but they still caught a ton of salmon.
The booking and checkin process was convenient and buying licenses and all that was easy. Misty and the team at FHC were fun and professional people.

Unknown boat issue ruined our trip - no backup, no care
We booked our fishing charter back in April as a special gift for my mom’s birthday and dad’s milestone celebration. It was truly a lifelong dream for them — and the only reason our entire family came back to Alaska (we had already been before)
We clearly shared how important this day was when we booked. Then - just one day before the trip - we were told it was canceled because the boat broke down. Things happen, we get it
But for a company of this size, there should be a backup plan or at least some real effort to help us find another option. Nothing was offered
Yes, we received a refund. But that’s all. No sincere apology, no future discount, no effort to make it right. And by that time, every other charter was fully booked (high season)
This was the entire purpose of our trip. And it was ruined
We’re not asking for compensation - but the complete lack of empathy and professionalism was extremely disappointing
If you’re considering booking with this company, be aware that your trip can be canceled last minute - and you might be left with no alternatives. Plan accordingly

Scheduled a salmon trip and bottom fish trip many months in advance. Checked in the week prior to our scheduled trip. Nothing was shared about a potential for cancelations.
Received a phone call around noon the day before the salmon trip that there were not enough people on the boat and they were cancelling it. There were no seats available on any other trips they had scheduled the same day. I spent two hours calling other charters to find other options. Less than 24 hr notice of cancellation is not ok or good customer service. There was no attempt help find other options.
The next day we had a halibut trip scheduled and it was canceled due to high winds and poor seas. They had given us a warning the day before that this could happen. Again late notice and no assistance to help find something different.
We were able to find other fishing opportunities with other charter companies including a boat that went out in the bay the day of the poor weather. The boat of16 limited out on salmon and caught a wide range of bottom fish. The Fish House could have easily done the same thing and scheduled a bay trip instead of just canceling.
Before you book look at the reviews and hunt around for options. Especially if there is a potential for questionable weather.

Would truly recommend this either with kids (went with our 6 and 9 yo) or just adults! Our captain was Ry. We caught 6 rockfish and 2 salmon. We went on a half day salmon fishing charter. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!

We went out today (May 30). The captain and crew were very professional. Captain and crew went out of their way in helping our 8 year old grandson catch fish. They also made sure EVERYONE caught a fish.

Professional crew , clean boats , and knowledgeable fishermen. I did a full day halibut charter with captain Tom, and fish guide Connor. I can’t speak enough to the professionalism of the crew. It was a wonderful experience that I would book again. Everyone on board took home their limit of halibut, and a few rockfish as well.

Nice big store with large selection of winter gloves and rain gear needed for back home. Staff helpful and friendly.
