We just moved to Soldotna two weeks ago and have been to this Freddy's many times already to purchase major household items (a couch and chair, kitchenware, etc.) as well as groceries. It is THE BUSY SEASON on the Kenai Peninsula, and the store is always packed! Nevertheless, the store is clean, well-stocked, and well-organized. Special shout-out to the Customer Service personnel who saw us trying out couches and provided information and support that sealed the deal then and there; also to the produce department gal who heard me mention asparagus to my husband and pointed it out (we'd just passed it); and to the super helpful teenaged (?) checkout clerk who helped me scan coupons for additional savings. It's not easy to deal with a barrage of tourists all day every day, and this store and its personable and helpful personnel have made our move to Soldotna efficient and enjoyable. I'm glad it's my new hometown store!

Regularly out of basic items. Sale items are hardly in stock. What is in stock is often expired! I have to check the dates in absolutely everything. After accidentally bringing home refrigerated salsa that was a MONTH expired I'm concerned on how well they rotate stock and handle inventory in the back. Every grocery trip I'm finding expired food. Talk about gross. If the employees in the Starbucks kiosk has to (and does) maintain proper rotation of food/drink items then there's no reason why the rest of the store can't do the same!!

Loyal customer for years. I love their jewelry but the customer service is always awful. The ladies attending the store are rude when I ask simple questions. This last experience, I had 5 of them gang up on me for simply questioning the address they had my order sent to. Ordering online is the way to go, especially when each visit to the store leaves me feeling frustrated.

Went to Freddy's ahead of a week-long fishing trip and got enough food and supplies for 8 hungry fellas. I am not a fan of the "layout" of the newer stores, but I like to products and service just fine.

Confused by the negative comments about customer service..... I frequent this Freddy's with my 3 young (loud) children often and have never received anything but excellent customer service. I have a suspicion those that are upset thought they could be the exception to the rules.... All I can say to those negative Nancy's is....

My wife bought a necklace and earrings matched set, for $1342.87 The necklace chain broke after only two weeks. She only wore the necklace during the day. She also purchased the Lifetime Care Plan at $129.99 for each piece. Total was $1602.85. So we went back to return the necklace, because it broke so easily. First thing they say is they have to call the manager. While waiting over 10 min for them to discuss the matter with the manager I read their return policy. It states, “If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly accept your jewelry return up to 60 days from date of purchase.” It was only 19 days from the date of purchase. They did say they could Solder the chain but most likely it would break again and again. To me that was admitting it was a cheep chain to begin with. The 10 caret rose gold was obviously too soft for that diameter of chain. We complained, end the end they said they would buy it back minus the $129.99. So now she has the earrings that don’t match anything. What a rip off. Do not buy from this Jewelry Store. Cheep jewelry at high marked up prices.

The workers here are very fun and kind. The other day a worker in the baker department went in the back and pulled out a chocolate pudding cake for me that was not on the floor nor was it thawed or labeled. Because I drove from Kenai just for the cake. Today I came in (again) for cake. Haha. And as I was checking out I was greeted by happy cashiers with a big smile and one was even dancing a little dance. It's moments like that seeing employees enjoying their job and doing a good job at their job that make me want to come back.

Crowded, anything on sale is out of stock, and poor customer service. Couldn't buy what I came for and they refused to trade me for a roll of quarters.
