Nagley's Store, a cherished landmark in Talkeetna since 1921, is beloved for its unique charm and a mix of everyday essentials and specialty items. The store features an inviting atmosphere, with cool decor and even a resident cat named Aurora, who enjoys gentle attention from visitors. Customers appreciate the variety of products, including locally sourced alcohol, coffee, ice cream, and basic groceries, making it a convenient stop for locals who prefer not to drive long distances to larger stores. Many reviews highlight the excellent ice cream, with one visitor declaring it the best vanilla cone they've ever had. While some customers mention occasional slow service, others find the staff friendly once they engage in conversation. The store often serves as a stop for cruise tours, providing a chance to grab snacks and souvenirs at reasonable prices. Although there have been reports of stock shortages, particularly for popular items like soda, the overall sentiment is positive. Nagley’s Store stands as a staple in the community, reflecting the spirit of Talkeetna and its residents.
I have not been to this store. I saw it on Eric Comp YouTube video. Looks rustic and interesting. I went to their webpage and saw they need a cashier. I imagine it very cold and it doesn't get dark.

Classic spot in Talkeetna to stop by! It's very much a general store with groceries, snacks, and misc items. I was expecting a bit more in the store as far as history, but its really just a general store. You wont find classic tourists gifts but its still worth a quick stop in, or just walk past.

This cute, small supermarket in the downtown area feels like it's straight out of a western movie. They carry a lot of essential items. Fred, who works there, is a great and unique person; I believe he is the security guard. He's truly an interesting guy.
