Will be staying here again. We had a fantastic stay. The cabin is adorable and functional. The staff is fantastic and two staff said that they enjoy working at the cabins because they are treated well by the owners. That was so nice to hear. It’s the best place I’ve stayed in Talkeetna.

What a great surprise! The cabin, scenery, and service were top-notch. Wish we could have stayed longer. The view outside our cabin was amazing.
Rooms: The rooms had all the amenities. The bed was very very comfortable. Heating was very efficient. Good wifi.

Loved this property right on the Susitna River. We were in a Lodge room which was large for 4 adults. Beautiful, large common room. We watched two movies (they have a nice DVD selection) during our stay. Very reasonably priced too.

No comment or rating on service, we didn't use/need any. Nice place, would stay there again if we make our way back to Talkeetna in the future. Better signage, especially when coming from town would be a nice improvement (it kinda seeks up on you).

These little cabins are less than a mile outside historic little Talkeetna and right on the Susitna Riverbank. No joke when I say you could probably fish right off the bank here. We had a two week stay while working out some developing issues for our property here, and honestly with how clean these cabins are built it made us completely rethink our build.
Amenities include a working kitchen (a hot plate rather than a stove which admittedly did take forever to cook anything on) that included dishes, a large electric skillet, microwave, crock pot, mini fridge, and sink with drying rack. The bathroom had a large lovely bathtub which is always nice at the end of a long day, and our cabin was a one story 2 bedroom.
Again, it is super close to Talkeetna, and xlose to a Cubby's, so if you wanted to cook some of your own meals to save some money you can.
Guest services and cleaning is on standby if you need anything, and bless them, the first night we were there we had to turn in a quilt because our baby had an upset tummy the night we got in and a diaper didnt save us, nor did the blanket he tossed away.
I cannot reccomend them highly enough, because the cabins, location, and service made us feel so warmly at home.
Nearby activities: Historic Talkeetna has everything from Planes to Trains to 4 wheeling tours, even a walking tour of their town and plenty of good eats to satisfy cravings.
Walkability: Its about a 15 minute walk if you feel like walking there, and there is a playground ACROSS THE STREET for littles.
Be aware in the way of safety, the river is HIGH in the spring time melt and runs FAST. If you are concerned about keeping an eye on kiddos, this is one that you may pay attention to, because the river is easy access and we walked to it every day to play in the sand.
Food and drinks: Always had coffee, cider and hot cocoa available for guests and a kettle to use as well as local hangouts for food like the Denali Brew Pub, Moutain High Woodfired Pizza, The Burger Barn, Fairview Inn, and soon the Homestead Kitchen.

Absolutely breathtaking views, amazing cabins, and a friendly staff. Bring the bugspray if you're going to venture outside (Welcome to Alaska), but downtown Talkeetna is within walking distance for food/drinks.
