Good selection of gear and friendly service but they're not clear about returns policy or rental options. When asking about bear spray ask for rent option rather than buying outright (what you're buying is likely to be 2nd hand anyway but sold at new price)

We rent a cruise e-bike for 4 hours, which allowed us to enjoy Talkeetna! While most trails were manageable, one provided challenging for a cruise bike. I'd suggest considering a mountain bike for more extensive exploration!

If you're going for any kind of mountaineering equipment it's not actually a great shop. It's more of an REI garage sale. It's a cute boutique in the front, but I think calling it a great shop is misleading.

Offers a huge variety of gear rental at a reasonable price. Snowshoes, cross country skies and poles, bicycles, fat tire bikes, and all the equipment is up-to-date gear and fitted for you! Convenient location. Helpful staff. And directions to the best site seeing, trails in Talkeetna! A must when visiting Talkeetna !

Our plans for the day fell through so we were especially happy to discover this bike shop with helpful staff and excellent e-bikes! We had a great time cycling around the park - be ready for lots of roots and twists and turns, but lots of fun! Thanks much to the team!

Excellent bike shop and great rentals. The fat tire was a great choice for the trails, gravel roads, and the paved path too. My only wish would have been more time to go a bit further!

My friend and I had a great time on Talkeetna Gear Shop's bike and brew experience. We had never used e-bikes before and are tempted to buy one.We took photos of Denali, checked out a local creek, explored a bit, and finished up with a yummy pizza and drinks at Denali Brewing.Hailey, Tyler, and Ryan were all great! Thanks for an awesome experience for a lazy Sunday in Talkeetna. I highly recommend this experience!

Sean was fantastic, great route advice and exceptional service. If you want to talk vintage bikes…I think we could have spent the day doing that! If you go to Talkeetna and skip biking, you missed Talkeetna.

Rented bikes from North Shore Cyclery in July, and it was a great experience! Well-maintained bikes, helpful staff, and really delicious milkshakes.
