Black Birch Books is an eccentric and welcoming bookstore that goes above and beyond to support its local community. The owner employs at-risk youth as part of a job training program and the store is fully handicap accessible. The bookshop hosts a diverse range of events, including Drag Storytimes, religious classes, finance and mechanical workshops, and talking panels for vulnerable community members. They support organizations focused on drug and alcohol sobriety, the LGBTQ+ community, and veterans. The store has a friendly and inviting atmosphere, with a resident pup named Dante adding to the warmth. Prices are described as "beyond reasonable," and the book selection, while not the largest, is well-organized and easy to browse. Customers praise the owner's helpfulness and the store's overall positivity, noting that it feels like being part of a community. While not everyone may agree with all the events hosted, the bookshop is praised for being open and inclusive, providing a space for everyone. Black Birch Books is described as an "absolute hidden gem" and a "high point" for visitors, with the store's commitment to supporting humanity and its community earning it high praise.
Amazing space to chill, find a book, find a unique item, find love, and lose your mind. Fantastic customer service and drink bar filled with coffee’s, tea’s, and snacks. Taylor (owner) rocks and makes this place equal ground for all.

My favorite local bookstore! Not, only is it a bookstore but it has a Cafe and is a safe place for every person that walks in. The warm and friendly energy is just enough to heal a person. They also support youth and have a training program. So much good comes from this bookstore.
