Worst customer service I have ever had in my entire life! INCOMPETENCY at its finest!! customer service associate couldn't even process a simple return from a dehumidifier purchase made from the app and picked up curbside. When we picked it up curbside the box was damaged, but the clerk said "it's ok it's just the box" turns out it was damaged and a sensor was broken leaving me with several floods. a clearly damaged item NEVER should have been given for purchase in the first place! I was in the store for OVER AN HOUR being told "it was returned", "it looks like it was never picked up, so I don't know what your trying to do." in a condescending attitude like im trying to steal, lie or cheat. Quite the contrary I'm a local business owner who spends over 30k there per year. She demanded that she has to call to fix the issue and then 45 minutes later was talking about the weather with the person on the other line. the weather!! while I'm over here extremely frustrated that this is wasting so much of my time! the supervisor came and was also un-helpful stating she "doesnt know anything about any of this!" I had in possession the email receipt, the damaged item and the service I got from this woman at customer serivce will make it so I NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN! How dare they treat us like we were doing something wrong. and then proceeds to talk over me when I was explaining to the other associate, who actually helped and returned the item in a few minutes. there was NO need to call in the first place. I am shocked by the TERRIBLE service, incompetency and condescending & disrespectful attitude by this store towards me and my business. If you need to return ANYTHING, which is unavoidable nowadays, DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE. they do not honor the return policy and will waste your valuable time to try and get you to not return it. They put their most incompetent people in customer service to try and deter returns.

I had two great employees help me. Knew right where items were and helped with with purchases My husband had a different experience with his online order pickup. Took them awhile to find items. Staff was great in helping us load. Overall better service than we have gotten at any other location!

HD bought and removed my original review. The sold a septic tank out from under us. We checked the web site, we called, we went straight to customer service. Each time we were told it was in stock. As we are loading it into our truck the same sales woman comes out and tells us, AFTER we paid for it, that we can't take it. Being the good citizens we are we didn't take something be bought but got the full refund. The said they would transfer a 1000 from Kenai. We waited patiently for over a month for a call that never came. We called and they refused the transfer three times. They said the Kenai location had sold the 1000 gallon meant for us, yet again selling it out from under us. So then they said they would transfer one of the four 1500 gallon septic tanks. We waited again for over a month before contacting them. We went to the store this time. Wouldn't know know it the septic the sold out from under us was still sitting there TWO months after we bought it. I could have had a septic system for two months. I just cried! Also Kenai still hasn't shipped the septic tank.

I would give 0 stars but yelp won't let me. After issues ordering a bag for my lawn mower many year ago I returned. Still no change. Can never find anyone that can help. And had to make a special order to finish my flooring. I received a text from Home Depot saying to call and make an appointment to pick up when I called the lady on the phone told me " that it was still 7-10 business days out from being at the store." Made the order over a month ago and still nothing and they could care less about the customer.

Where to start...first I went to Home Depot so I could take advantage of a large business that can get a shower base up from the lower 48. Not the case. They shipped to Washington to be freighted to Alaska. When they did this the State of Washington charged me 10% as if I bought it there. When I finally received it (3 weeks past the time they said it would arrive) it was the wrong one, We verified the order and it was ordered correctly. This is not the first time Home Depot has screwed up an order but it will be the last. Save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else.

I'm sorry but this staff here are terrible. I was trying to purchase an item that was not in stock but apparently on it's way via barge. I was put on a call list to let let me know when the item arrived as I wasn't allowed to pay for it before pick up. I was never called. I called the store and asked to speak with a supervisor to get an update and was spoken to very rudely. The supervisor hung up on me. I tried to call their corporate office but couldn't seem to find anyway to contact a district manager or corporate on the home depot website. I refuse to give home depot my business. I've never been treated so rudely. It's no wonder their parking lot is often empty...

I was looking to replace the exterior doors on my home before it was painted. So I went into Home Depot the Thursday before Memorial Day to see about ordering some doors. When I spoke to the sales rep he told me that I would have the have measurements completed before I was able to pick out my doors and schedule my installation. After paying my $50 the sales rep told me that I should receive a call with 48hrs to schedule my measurements. What he failed to tell me is that it was actually 72 business hrs. Fast forward a few day later I finally get my measurements completed and I call to ensure that they are at the store so I don't make a blank trip and the lady at the customer service desk tells me that no one is working in that department at the moment and that the next person isn't scheduled to be in until 8am tomorrow. So I ask there is no one else that can help me with right now? She places me on hold for a few minutes and comes back just to say, "I spoke with my store manager and he said that that person is the only that can order doors for you." What I truly don't understand is that if you extend you store hours in the summer months to accommodate the insurance of customers then why isn't the store staffed to the customer needs? The store is open from 6am-10pm and I was told that the person that worked millworks got off at 4:30pm. Why is there a gap in coverage from 4:30-10pm? Better yet why didn't the Store Manager offer to assist me? I guess this just may be the last time I ever do business with Home Depot.

I honestly can't find anything wrong with my visit here. The staff was super helpful and so very friendly. They had everything we were looking for. We were all over the store doing all sorts of things. We had a piece of plywood cut. They did it quickly and expertly. We worked through different types of flooring. The lady was always within earshot and ready to answer questions or walk us to the aisle with the answer to our question. It's not busy at all. I was used to Home Depot's in Florida with long waits and often rude, overworked employees. I experienced very much the opposite at this location.

My review is solely based on an employee by the name of Christine. I needed some transmission fluid for my vehicle and noticed my local Home Depot stocked it. I needed 14qts and online showed 8 in stock. She put me on hold for a couple min and came back on the line letting me know she found 9 bottles. She literally had to go up a ladder to the top shelf to get the case of fluid. Then she brought it up front and put it on hold for me. let me pay over the phone until the next day when I could pick it up. That's the kind of service customers look for in a company. Above and beyond customer service! Thank you Christine! Sincerely, Brian

It's sad to say I'm a little disappointed with Home Depot. With a few gorgeous days mixing with gloomy rainy weeks, our grass has been reached an alarming height. We came here to shop for a lawn mower since they have a couple more options and better price than their competitors. The customer service was awesome. The Home Depot employee did her best to accommodate our questions and requests. However, the store policy is a bit of a let down. They cap off the military discount at $50. We were informed that AK is one of a few states that suffers from this odd policy. Also, there are a few items that the normal 10% discount wouldn't apply. We went ahead and purchase our tractor lawn mower since HD was the only store that carry that particular brand. They barely put any oil and gas in there that the lawn mower wouldn't run at all. They offered to get several guys to push it up our trailer. We declined since we wanted to test how the engine sounded and how it drove. We would get some gas ourselves but we didn't have any container and our home wasn't close. It took them almost an hour to track down enough gas to put it in the lawn mover so we can make a yard worth of trip up the ramp. Really? We paid thousands of dollars for their product and they couldn't throw in a couple buck of gas and oil? What a disappointment!

Found out the extended warranty you buy doesn't kick in until after product warranty expires. Conflicting presentation from different employees. We were led to believe this extended warranty was construed to mean: if it's broken, bring it back and we'll replace it with no hassles. Other than that, service and customer care is very good. PS-I'm a 100% disabled combat pilot. My wife and I were victims of a bad auto accident. Still waiting for the promise Home Depot management made to make some modest repairs to our homes wheelchair ramp so snow can be pushed off sides of ramp instead of struggling to get a big pile of snow build up shoved to end of ramp. 3 times I've mentioned this to store managers but no one has come out to fix a simple problem. Why?

Every time I need help in this store the staff bends over backwards to help me. I hold off shopping in Anchorage where they have a few more options just so I can shop with these guys.

You are better off going to Lowes. This place is horrible. Every time I need help finding something, they are either too lazy to take you there or just don't care. Multiple times I have asked for an item, such as a gutter piece and the girl who I ask just said, its at the end of the store. What I needed wasn't there and I didn't want to waste more of my time so I left and went to Lowes. Customer service here lacks greatly, at least the few times I've gone here.
