About Roadside Inn
The Roadside Inn is an older diner, lounge, and hotel with a rustic, Alaskan-themed atmosphere. It offers a local bar and restaurant on one side and a sunny family cafe on the other, featuring beautiful mounted Alaskan wildlife for a lodge feel. The food receives strong praise in many reviews, described as Alaska home cooking at its best with excellent, very tasty, and amazing dishes. Specific highlights include the halibut fish & chips, biscuits & gravy breakfast, a variety of big burgers with lots of well-seasoned meat, perfect steak fries, a very good patty melt, and a ham and cheese omelette noted as the best in a long time. Prices are very fair, amazing, and affordable with good portions, and the service is frequently called excellent, friendly, and super friendly. However, some notes mention the food can be uneven, sometimes chewy or with a weird smokey taste, and the rooms are similarly described as not horrible but in need of improvement. The inside could use updating and easier access, though the overall vibe is relaxed and uncrowded. It is seen as a great place where everybody knows your name, offering a wonderful, down-to-earth experience.
This place is like cheers, everybody knows your name! Angie is the best manager, rose is an awesome bartender and brad is a super down to earth bar owner! Love this place!
