Well, that was fun! After my mocha & fritter in Whittier this morning, I wandered by the nearby Alaska Jet Ski Tours,... and 20 minutes later I was in a (semi-)drysuit headed out for a 4 hour trip to Blackstone Glacier on a Sea-Doo! (my wife wisely chose to sit this one out).
Total blast. The wind was strong, so waves were up to maybe 4 foot with variable and crossing seas, which made for an exhilarating and soaking ride. Spent pretty much the entire time standing and working the terrain like on a bike - except that the terrain kept moving and reforming on me ?. I drenched myself quite a few times when I hit the face of a wave coming down, and might have caught air a few times as well. Whee!
Being pretty focused on the ride, I probably missed a lot of the beautiful views, glaciers & waterfalls we passed, but Blackstone and the nearby rainbow waterfall were gorgeous.
Next morning update: everything is a little sore - arms, hands, shoulders, upper/lower back, calves, butt, fingers, toes - it was a full body workout! (but it was totally worth it)

10/5 stars. This tour was INCREDIBLE! It might be my favorite tour I’ve done in Alaska. Jade and Owen were the best guides. We saw multiple whales, bald eagles, sea lions and had the option to jump into the water by the glacier (do it.) after driving under a waterfall. The scenery and endless waterfalls were breathtaking. It was a very intimate tour that allowed us to get an up close and personal look at the landscape. I shared a jet ski with my husband and actually preferred it that way so one person could scout for wildlife and we could talk the whole time. Highly recommend!

One of the most incredible experiences, being able to ride on a jet ski in an open ocean, have incredible views, see wildlife, and ride up close to a glacier. Hard to beat

Went back in June of '23. Awesome experience. Crazy and unreal views of the glaciers. Got to jump in with the dry suit on, pretty cool experience overall. Got the jet skis up to 55-60mph.

This is a bucket list excursion! Very easy to drive, and the guides will fill you in on any questions you might have. You get up close and personal with the glaciers and have a rocking time while doing it. I couldn't believe the guides get to do that everyday, what a life!

This place is legit. I highly recommend this activity as you will have fun and will enjoy being so close to nature. You will get into a dry suit for 4 hours so keep that in mind. No bathroom break once you have been zipped. They provide everything, helmets, life jackets , booties and a great guide. You also need to arrive 15 minutes early so you can get ready and leave on time. Once you get on the Jet ski, you are briefed and you start to head over to the Glacier. When you reach the middle of the trajectory, it can get a bit rough as you are close to the ocean but once you passed that, the water gets calmer. (Not by much but a lot better)The closer the you get to the glacier the colder it gets so you need to bring insulation. I used by Under Armour base layer 4.0 and some merino wool socks and I was very comfortable. Once you reach the glacier, you are provided with a surprise and I will not spoil the surprised. Then you reach the glacier and it is breathtaking. It seems like it is not real at all! After you spend a good amount of time there you head back and you have to go thru the rough patch next to the ocean. The total time of the trip was roughly 4:15min and you need to hold your pee and make sure you are not SICK to your stomach because you have an accident, there is fine to clean it up. If you decide to go, ask for Mango as she was great, very patient and easy going. I am pretty sure everyone is nice therr but I may be a bit bias.

If you’re okay driving through pouring rain, very bad visibility, fog, heavy winds, choppy water and ice needles in your face this is the tour for you!! They do NOT cancel even in terrible conditions!!5 stars for the sweet guide though, he was really trying to make the best of it and made sure everyone is surviving!
