About Whittier Parking & Camping
Whittier Parking & Camping is an in-town camping option. It is a place to park for the night, with a carved out area in the trees and bushes above the city behind a large parking lot. The ground is level and spacing is pretty generous, with plenty of good sized spots. Some sites have creek access or views and some are grassy. Amenities include fire pits, clean portable toilets, and dumpsters. The location is very easy to find and walkable to everywhere in town, about a five minute walk. There is a trail to a waterfall, more of a rapids, just behind the campground. The fee is reasonable at $20 per night for RVs and $15 for tents, paid from noon to noon. Payment is via cash in an envelope or card at a pay station. It is generally really quiet, though the nearby river can be loud. A quiet period from 10pm to 6am is not always enforced.

Campground was just a place to park for the night. Nothing special about it. Just some carved out area up in the bushes above the city.

This is more a Spectacular Falls post - just behind the campground picnic area. Is more of a rapids than a falls but was nice.

Exceeded expectation I stayed a week here and enjoying every moment there is a trail to the waterfall. It’s walkable to town fee is reasonable. Ground is level. Spacing is pretty generous. Privacy is good. It’s really really quiet I think it’s a solid little campground.
