“My experience at Country Hills Toyota was mixed, and I want to be very clear about both the positives and the negatives.

I initially moved over to the service department, which has been consistently great. The line moves quickly, the staff are friendly, and they genuinely go above and beyond — a big contrast to the other NW dealership where my older Highlander was originally purchased.

When it came time to consider upgrading my vehicle, I worked with Hanif, who was excellent throughout the process. He was responsive, knowledgeable, and efficient, and had me driving a new 2026 Grand Highlander within a week, which was pretty impressive! He remained helpful right through to delivery.

I also want to recognize Kyle Fargo in Parts. He provided clear pricing options for the extras I was considering, knew his product extremely well, and had excellent awareness of current stock levels, which helped set clear expectations. He was friendly, funny, and easy to work with, and his knowledge made decision making much easier.

Sara in Finance was a standout. She took the time to go through every number with me so I fully understood what I was being charged, kept me informed on installation timing, and worked hard to secure the best possible rate with the lender. If it hadn’t been for Sara calmly and transparently walking through the numbers, I would have walked away from the deal.

Unfortunately, my experience with the Sales Manager, Farid Shivji, was the opposite. After we agreed on a price that included a set of winter tires, he attempted to hide the cost of the tires within the vehicle price and told me it was required “for accounting purposes.” When I asked him to add up the numbers to clarify the math, he became defensive and rude, and the interaction became uncomfortable enough that I nearly walked out.

He later returned and said he would do me a “favour” by removing the cost of the tires so the deal could go through. This was not a favour; it was simply honoring the agreement that had already been made. I did not appreciate being treated as though I wouldn’t notice or understand the numbers.

Because of this experience, I strongly recommend that anyone negotiating take photos of each pricing sheet as it’s presented. The documents were taken away quickly and the numbers changed, which did not feel transparent or acceptable.

That said, the service department and parts department remain top-notch, and I will continue servicing my vehicle here long after the warranty is up. I’ve been a Toyota customer for years and don’t see that changing anytime soon. If I purchase another vehicle in the future, I would happily work with Hanif again, this time knowing what to expect and keeping a closer eye on the numbers.

I’m giving a star each to Hanif, Kyle, Sara, and the Service Department, and zero to Farid, for an overall 4/5 review.”
