Took 3 months to get my car back, place is a joke, nobody knows how to communicate with the customer

Our experience at Carstar was bad, to say the least. The communication (or lack there of) was the major issue.
We took our car in which had damage to the exterior but was still drivable. They scheduled us in for the repairs about 6 weeks out so parts would arrive. They had to push our appointment multiple times due to parts not arriving. This was completely understandable but I had to eventually ask them to just wait until the parts arrived to schedule us in, as pushing it out over and over again was just frustrating.
Then finally they said all the parts had arrived and we could bring our car in. They told me the repairs would take 21 days (so about a month in the shop). This was slightly longer than my insurance company had predicted so I had to do some paperwork to get a separate approval from them to have our rental car for that long, but they agreed.
Then after 11 days in the shop I get a call to say that our car is ready. I was very confused as they told me 21 days. I mean don’t get me wrong it’s nice when it finishes early but I was sceptical of whether everything had been done correctly and as throughly as it should. I called them as asked them to be sure that everything was complete before I returned my rental car that the insurance company had paid for. They assured me everything was done.
Then about a week later I get a text from them asking me to bring my car back in as a final part had arrived. This is when my frustration really set in. I asked them why I was not told that there was still work that was required, when I CLEARLY asked them to ensure everything was completed the week earlier. I asked if they would pay for a rental car because I had already returned ours and it was on them for not telling me. Of course they would not do that so I had to take a half day off work to bring the car in since my husband and I both require a vehicle for our long commutes.
The worst part is, when I get there on the day I took off work, they realized that the part (which was just hubcaps for the tires) could not be put on because they were hubcaps for me summer tires and my winter tires were current on. So all I could do was take them home with me. I told them I took a half day of work for nothing then and would be out that money. They didn’t seem to care about this very much because all they could say was we are sorry for the inconvenience.
I will never take my car here ever again.

My car wasn’t fixed properly, the front sensor started getting crazy with no reason once you start or move the car which is something I cannot understand, they drove and parked my car ignoring the sound of sensor and the camera on, knowing that there’s no obstacles around the car!
When they replaced the front bumper, they didn’t put back the license plate holder, knowing I had my personal front license plate on ! They just throw my front personal license plate with screws in the car trunk and they kept the license plate holder, when I did call them the person (gentleman) who was in charge of the car, he told me that he just thought that will look nicer with no front license plate holder !
The front camera angle is different after they fixed my car, the camera is showing a part of the bumpers (up and down) wasn’t the case before !
When I picked up the car, it has horrible smell and looks dirtier than how I dropped it off, initially, although, they placed the paper matt & plastic seat cover.
I have to mention that the 2 ladies at front desk were so helpful and amazing.

I appreciate all the Carstar staff for fixing my car. They are very kind and nice. I want to give them 5 stars. No offense, but their dent repair skill is not excellent. The dent they made is not correct. However, I won't complain because I believe they did their best. I hope their skills will improve.

Today my partially repaired car was returned to me while they wait for the roof and hood that has been delayed without an estimated delivery date. There was already one postponement and I was told to bring it in on the second date unless I was contacted. I was not contacted, but I followed up with a text to ask if the parts had arrived but did not receive a reply.
I brought my car in as scheduled and picked up the rental. No mention of the parts not being delivered. I assumed I would be in the rental for two weeks and return to have all the body work completed.
Today, over one week after dropping my car off, I’m contacted to be advised they need to reschedule the repairs. I was told the paintless dent repairs were done. I’m mildly annoyed but not wanting to drive the rental more than I need to, I respond to let them know I can come pick my car up today and return the rental in the afternoon.
When I got my car it was unwashed and was still covered with all the wax pencil marks indicating where the dents were. When I started my cold car, I saw they forgot to reconnect the de-froster, requiring me to go back inside and get a tech to reattach it. At that time I asked if they could also wash the wax pencil marks off the car.
When I returned home, the freshly washed car revealed that they missed the dents on the front corner panel. These will have to wait until the remainder of the repair can be done in tentatively Feb 2025.

Carstar Airdrie, delivers again! I was in desperate need to have my truck detailed after a mishap from an unwell passenger.
I had tried my best to clean it but did not have the proper tools to do it effectively. I remembered from my previous truck repair they did offer detailing. So i dropped it off and picked up later in the day. I would tell you that they did an amazing job. I don’t think my truck had ever been that clean since driving it off the lot.

At the start of my insurance claim I was 100% impressed with how thorough the technician was to do the initial estimate. I felt like I was in great hands. I found the communication after that poor. I had to call to confirm the parts had been received and we were able to proceed with the scheduled repairs. The communication from enterprise and Carstars varied about the drop off time which I was able to sort on my own with Enterprise. Once the car was complete, I received a message at 4:04 and 4:14 pm that my car was complete and to come pick it up or I would be responsible for the car rental over the weekend. Both Carstars and Enterprise close at 5pm on Friday. I rushed as fast as I could to gas up the rental, drop it at Enterprise and get to Carstars by 5pm. Which I did with 1 minutes to spare as fortunately I was in Airdrie. I was then told they could have extended the rental and I was able to drop off right to Carstars without the extra stop at Enterprise. None of this was shared with me until after the fact. While picking up my car I did notice a flaw in the paint and the staff did take a picture, however I don’t have the time to come and sit for a few hours as I work full time, for it to be fixed, nor will I have a rental to use while the touch up is done. The staff were empathic to me with the stress caused on Friday when I picked up my vehicle but I do think this business needs to work on communication.

Amazing service provided by Carstar Airdrie. Never had to wait or call back for status. They took great care for my car and delivered my car in pristine condition. Highly recommend their services.
