It sucks because I want to give a good rating, but it seems every time I go to this place I am met with some really disappointing customer service. I want to be understanding as I get you can’t be chipper and happy all the time, we’re all human here, but this is too common of an occurrence that whenever I am trying to get information that I can’t find online and am met with sighs and glares and anger it makes me feel like I never want to return. I really enjoy the things you can do at Genesis, but with what I’ve been seeing and the increase of people I would rather spend my money somewhere else. It sucks when I just get met with some form of sadness or anger most times, I’m sure they aren’t having the best times themselves, but I don’t want to feel like an inconvenience for trying to understand or figure something out. When I was paying to use the facility you’d have those really great workers, who were pretty rare that made you smile and made your day, but most have been cranky and make the environment feel not the best to do much of anything at because it feels more like a Highschool environment than a place where you can exist freely like ex: the public library. I tried basketball, my passes were tossed at me while the girl barely looked at us so she could talk to a coworker, when we have asked for the basketball nets to be taken down they have left us and others waiting for more than half an hour until we eventually just left while all the workers were standing around chit chatting. While swimming they are far from inclusive and it makes it difficult to approach the counter to even go swimming at all, it just sucks how unfriendly and uninviting this place feels to the point even making calls makes my heart kind of hurt. I’ve had friends and family say they also just can’t call because it’s difficult hearing the attitudes. Like, this sucks to see this place feel so depressing even through calls.

Wouldn't say it's bad but the rules are overprotective, the slide gave my a BIG ahh scar and yeah it's fun to jump in the 1.5 area though

It's a nice facility but... They have great arenas but small dressing rooms. The pool is not so great. I find the air temperature and water temp pretty cold. They are overly strict and a mediocre facility so sometimes I find it worth it to go into Calgary for a more enjoyable day with the kids. Expensive and often closed for maintenance. Small improvements and I'd give it a 5 star.

The girl at the front desk was very rude and not polite at all. She didn’t allowed the other guy at the help desk to provide the required information. I felt very embarrassed and ashamed. Date of experience-11 August 2025 around 12-12.45 pm.

The facility is impressive nice for the price you pay, the staff is super friendly. Great place for people that are active with huge gym and sport spaces and also for people looking to get active.
