I'd like to acknowledge one of the cashiers, Ea Lan. We always hope she's on shift when we're shopping.
Not only is Ea Lan friendly, she's knowledgeable and very efficient. She always greets one warmly, and today, she ran to exchange the small pint of raspberries for the larger container on sale. I didn't even have the chance to tell Ea Lan I'd do it myself, she did it on my behalf!
For this, and her dedication and conscientious behaviour, we choose to make Tower Lane our home store.

Hot food section staff are very nice, but the mark up on items (in this example I will be using the chicken strip meal) is ridiculous
The chicken strips had 1 taken away, I get so few wedges now that it's not even a fraction of half the box. And it's gone up in price. It is ridiculous. If you raise the prices of items don't take away any of it. Safeway is ripping off there customers

So I way looking for a good rib eye grilling steak, and headed to Airdrie Safeway. Been happy with their Sterling AAA steaks.
Picked up a nice one, 10% off or so I read.
Went up to pay. It rang in at the regular price, so I mentioned the discount.
She couldn't access it, another lady showed up, said it was priced right, call the meat dept. They said only roasts. Sent me to the back to discuss. Very rudely the meat person spoke like I was blind, can't read or what, the sticker price was right. I said sorry, I misunderstood and left.Went up to the front, apologized to the cashier, she gave me a snarled look. As did couple of other staff. One even mocked me as I left empty handed. When I spoke to the asst. manager he didn't even look up or acknowledge me. I will not darker their door.
SAFEWAY IS NO WAY!

Safeway is my new go to for when I only need one or 2 things. When I go into most grocery stores for one thing, I'm leaving with 30 things and spending more than I wanted. Safeway is one of the most expensive grocery stores, even their own brand compliments is more expensive then brand name stuff from other stores. So when I go into Safeway for one thing, I'm only getting that one thing, and not buying a bunch of stuff that I can get a lot cheaper elsewhere
