Took my friend on his bachelor party here. Was greeted with disgruntled staff, then scolded on the course for gathering together for a chat, the Marshall came around to scold us for having a chat on the course. Then the Marshall and his friend proceeded to play on the course and rush us from behind and be snotty as we let them play through. Will never be going back here to say the least. Would give 0 stars for terrible customer service and being pestered on the course. This isn't a PGA tour course, so don't act like it is.

I’ve golfed at many different golf courses around Alberta and this is by far my least favourite. Coming up to the front desk we were instantly called out for not having proper golf attire and our T-time was canceled. I could see if it were a 5 star golf resort it would make sense to have golfers wear collard shirts, but this is just a joke. Me and my buddies were just wanting to have a nice day together on the course but it gets shut down by power tripper who gets mad at minors for not having “proper attire” on a lower class golf course. I definitely won’t be going back there.

Zero Stars. Seems to be a common theme when coming to this golf course. I’ve been coming for many years just to be told I couldn’t golf because of my attire, no collared shirt? I was dressed appropriately and have worn the same outfit many times to different golf courses to be told no the owner wouldn’t allow it. I went directly to speak too the owner and was treated rudely when questioned his “rules” and laughed at me when he asked were my outfit was from, apparently I should be only shopping at golf town? Never felt more judged, this isn’t a PGA golf course this is Alberta Beach. But there’s lots of other golf courses in the area so I highly recommend going to one of those instead.

5 out of 5 for the course, beautiful greens ,lush fairway nicely cut. Great place to golf.
1 out of 5 for the people working the course. Wasn't booked under my name and was paying for a twosome out of the foursome, they made it extremely hard just to pay for the golf. Apparently trying to give cash is just insane at this course LoL ?.

The course was nice and we enjoyed the round of golf there.
The ladies working the cash were not very friendly and made one of our golf partners buy a new shirt due to inappropriate attire. The attire in question was a tasteful dress that has been worn at other golf clubs throughout the area with much tighter restrictions. The older lady at the counter was not at all discreet about pointing this out in front of everyone either, which was somewhat humiliating. We figured the rules are the rules and she purchased a shirt to cover up what was deemed inappropriate. The reason for the negative review however is because several holes into the round we see a young man in a T-shirt and basketball shorts playing. This is against their rules....if you are going to have rules enforce them uniformly, don't pick and choose.
Going through the reviews it seems women are targeted for attire rules far more than men too.....

I’d give 0 starts if I could. Having never played here and driven out of town, I was beyond shocked to be turned around and told we had to purchase collared golf shirts in order to play on our tee time. The cheapest ladies golf shirt for sale is more expensive than the round of golf.
For context, I am wearing an Adidas - Adicross golf t shirt, while my girlfriend is wearing a one-piece golf dress. Not professional enough for this small town course apparently. Though we have worn the same attire to many nicer courses in the city.
Not only were these deemed “unacceptable” by the ladies in the pro shop, but they were beyond rude to me and my girlfriend. Incredibly disappointing “small town charm” on display here. You may as well go play a private course in the city, where they’ll 100% likely have less of a dress code and are more likely to take your business without trying to leverage a “collared golf shirt sale” out of it. They might even be friendly at other courses too. Just incredibly disappointing customer service. Start to finish.
Covid may have brought new golfers into the sport, but these people are doing there best to drive those same new golfers out with archaic rules in a location not even close to worthy.

Very disappointed with Marlene at the front and the “dress code” attire and overall attitude. I have golfed on plenty of private and public courses and have never had any issues with dress. There was a gentleman golfing on the first hole without a collared shirt, but unfortunately Marlene had a large issue with our appropriate dress for a PUBLIC course including our specific golf shoes. Will not be supporting this business going forward.

This corse is in my opinion is one of the best in the area. In the spring they are ahead of every corse there greens are beautiful and everything is well kept. I golf here every week and am constantly met with gratitude and kindness. The staff are friendly and nice to chat with. Yes some staff are stricter than others on dress code but at the end of the day it is respectful to dress properly and honour the game of golf we all love. And yes the carts are not the best but as you golf you get to learn little tricks like to ease into the throttle and not mat it down right away. Not to mention the price to golf is amazing I do not see how they make much of a profit compared to all the golf courses in the area. I am a junior golfer and it is just amazing how we can golf 18 holes for just $18 every day of the week! Having friends that aren’t very wealthy this allows them to have a round at a very affordable price. This corse has forever found a loyal customer for the years to come!

It's our culture today, to slam a business when you didn't get the experience you desire. However that is one side only of the story. I work at the golf course, and give excellent service every day. To set the record straight, when staff are rude it is usually provoked from rude behavior from customers. We get told offand called names The course is beautiful and well kept. Its a real hidden jem. The carts are older and not the best but the place is well kept and the manager and most staff are excellent. We do have a dress code as do most golf courses and when ladies show up in outfits that are so skimpy and too much is falling out all over, we don't let them play. Men show up in tank tops and cowboy boots , ladies in 5inch spiked heels or short Jean cutoffs. Ladies show up looking like a day on the beach. It's a matter of respect to dress respectful at all golf courses. A collared shirt is required. Only 4 golfers at one tee time, but they show up with 5 people and wonder why they get asked to leave. There is a lot of bad behavior from the city people. If people could just respect the rules and be kind and not swear at the staff and call them names it would be better for everyone.

What we thought was going to be a great game, a fun day out was ruined by representatives of this course.
After paying over 100 for a game for my husband and I, we were told by a staff members my Jacket, and capped sleeve outfit (athletic wear) and golf attire didn’t match what they thought I should be wearing. I adhered to all their standards, and read the rules on the web page before coming. No where did it say I had to wear a golf shirt. They are bullies, and classless. They have a decent course, but it’s the unwelcoming and frankly not the type of course that you would expect, don’t make a special trip. Leave this place for the people that stay at the RV PARK.
not my style to be harassed after you pay good money to golf.
