“Not long ago my husband purchased a green amethyst pendant for me from this company in Whistler. This summer on a cruise it went missing from our stateroom😡. I loved it so much and was really disappointed. Despite my attempts to see if the Cruise line had anything turned in, it never has shown up. So I emailed the company as I didnt see anything similar on their website. I just wondered if they had something else somewhere. Karly promptly answered me and was incredible help and eventually sent me photos of some of what they had, which were all good choices! I settled on one, and by that time I was now dealing with Baptiste, who was equally helpful. It arrived yesterday and I am so happy with it!! I’ve attached a photo with me wearing my older one that got nicked, and the one in my hand is the one I ordered afterwards. Both beautiful!”

“We enjoyed our visit to this store while on tour in Banff. My question for the proprietor was "How are the shells formed?". The question stumped the staff so after a bit of research this is the likely answer. Homes for Mollusks Mollusks like snails and clams have very delicate bodies, so they need protection from the elements and predators. As mollusks develop in the sea, their mantle tissue absorbs salt and chemicals. They secrete calcium carbonate, which hardens on the outside of their bodies, creating a hard shell. The shell stays attached to the mollusk but it is not actually part of its living body because it is made of minerals, not mollusk cells (unlike most animal structures). The mollusk continues to take in salt and chemicals from the sea and secrete calcium carbonate, which makes its shell grow even bigger. When a mollusk dies it discards its shell, which eventually washes up on the shore. This is how seashells end up on the beach. My boss enjoys her sample.”
