The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre is a clean facility with friendly staff and a great location. It offers hot showers and displays a lot of local sports history. The concourse area is beautiful with a wood beam roof and very large windows, suitable for events like weddings where staff can set up tables and chairs. Bartenders are lovely. However, planning events can be somewhat chaotic with communication challenges, creating additional stress. The centre provides lots of parking, including short-term free parking for visitors wishing to take pictures at the nearby iconic Banff sign. Drivers are advised to watch for squirrels.
Banff sign in around corner to take pictures, you can park your vehicle for 10 minutes without any cost in recreation centre parking lot.

There was a huge queue on side of the road just for clicking pictures near Baff sign. We waited for our turn and had amazing picture with our family

The Banff sign near the railway station is a fun and iconic spot to stop for a photo. Parking is a bit limited, but if you can find a spot, it’s definitely worth it. A great way to kick off your trip and capture a memorable picture to mark your time in Banff.
