This store has gone downhill, mostly because of the brand lower & lower grade general policy. Staff is friendly enough but --- with tied hands when it really matters. Footwear quality has been Walmart-like for years, tied to a sales pitch lie about the odd Vibram sole that they use sometimes —they may replace the sole but the crack in the shoe that appeared 3 weeks post-purchase is not covered— Now, tech-wear warranty support is worse: on clothing they’ve quietly stopped honoring lifetime coverage on zippers and other gear…Calling it 'case per case claim review'. We now know what it means... Too easy to say a big NO. Good luck to all those above, praising the brand - might look good on your Insta post but good luck getting any warranty if you actually push your gear to the extreme as it is supposedly what North Face is all about, and see the seaming or zipper go... . Premium prices with bargain‑level service. To make matters worse, the Banff location doesn’t even answer or -have a phone number??? -4 different browsers/ 2 different AI apps--each time a bogus different phone number... One phone number may be right but the phone rang about 40 times before I hang up-- unacceptable for a flagship store on Banff Ave. Once a trusted brand, now operating like a discount chain. Even Columbia probably does a better job, what does that tell us... Doesn't matter, I will spend the rest of my lifetime turning the cold shoulder to those double-faced brands and tell everyone what a sham it has become... Buyers beware. BUY ARCTERYX OR HELLY HANSEN WHO STILL PROVIDE NO-QUESTIONS-ASKED - LIFETIME WARRANTY as a real technical gear manufacturer is supposed to.

Fake North face store as per manager “its not actually The North face”. I went to exchange a jacket that was a birthday gift purchased online, it was showing on the official site that banff store is eligible to do that “photo attached”. Never picks up the call. Went to the store, staff and manager seems irresponsible and not willing to help, simply denied and ignored whatever showing on the site, I would not get anything from the north face and won’t recommend this store. I was thinking the online return would be hassle but not more than this store. Called Ontario and BC store they said yes they can exchange it without any problem, why cannot these guys, pretty disappointing.

Very disappointing experience at the Banff North Face.
The customer service was extremely poor. Staff didn’t seem willing to help, and if I hadn’t pushed for assistance, I doubt I would have received any. It was frustrating and unprofessional, not what I expected from The North Face. I’ll definitely avoid this branch in the future.

Great my uncle and aunt bought a jacket when we were camping june 21 the store is very clean and big a lot of choices to pick jackets! While my cousins are fighting a lot i dont think you guys mind?

Im a big and tall guy. I literally tried all the other stores in Banff looking for pants. These guys had my size. Thanks north face + friendly and helpful staff!

Great variety of clothes. Nice and spacious layout. Staff were welcoming and asked if I needed assistance, which I declined as I was browsing. Store was very neat and tidy, saw staff tidying up the racks quite often. Ended up buying a jumper and the lady at the register was kind.

My Husband and I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at The North Face Banff, yesterday (Feb 11). We were met with smiling faces.
I asked an employee for a certain coat & he showed us where they were located.
We then started talking with another employee (Lydia?) and explained that my husband usually has a really hard time finding a coat he likes. She showed him a bunch of different winter coats and explained the differences from each coat.
We went back and forth over what colour coat he wanted. She wasn’t pressuring us into a sale. We put the coats we were considering on hold and left the store for a bit to think about it.
Shortly after we left, we went back into the store and bought the coat. If it weren’t for Lydia, he would have never tried on the Carto Tri Jacket. And he would have never know what he was missing.
This jacket is the most comfortable winter jacket he’s ever worn. And we hope The North Face never discontinues it.
Thank you for making our experience in The North Face Banff, such a pleasant experience.

FYI, guys, we can't use our gift cards here because this store is not owned by the north face it's a third-party or licensed, though north face. This is what they told me!
