Staff is awsem Canada post in general is bad . They refuse to get more staff for the Bon accord post office as well refuse to get them more Computers . When they know forever 2 years packages have been picking up and the busy season is upon them . As a result the poor staff are stressed and packages end up being late

Open until 6pm would be ideal. They shut down for an entire hour in the middle of the day. Some of us aren't off work until 5 go to work earlier than 8:30Then the weekends leave us with limited hours to even get there.

The manager (light haired lady) was terribly rude. My wife ordered diapers and wipes for my 6 month old and as it is -30 and the roads are terrible, I went to pick it up. The package unfortunately did not have my name (wife's name, last name hadn't been changed to mine yet) and my address on my ID is elsewhere. I figured they would have needed some additional documentation showing I owned the property or something. The first lady (dark haired lady) at the front was pleasant, wanted to help and understandably asked her Supervisor for some assistance with the situation.
Her Supervisor was not at all willing to work with me, specifically telling me that firstly if the names do not match, they look at the address on the photo ID. As I somewhat tried to plead with her if there was anything else I could use (Certificate of Title for that address, statements with my name and that address) she rudely said "If we are both talking then you are not listening". At this point I just stared at her, stunned, and knowing you can't argue with someone going on a power trip. With her not willing to work with anything other than photo ID, I stormed out to race home to get my wife and 6 month old.
First off, she was in the wrong. If you go to Canada post's website there are a ton of other things I could show, some I mentioned, with my name on the address - Bills, Bank Statements etc. Furthermore, my wife could have signed the delivery notice slip and written my name for authorized pick up, and I then could have used my photo ID. Having called Canada Post I confirmed all of this. She told me that my wife would need to come in with her photo ID.
So, as my 6 month old only has 2 diapers left, I have my wife get bundled up with my baby so that I may get the diapers and wipes. All I can say is I hope the post office supervisor felt extremely powerful having me come back on icy roads with my wife and 6 month old.
Please know your role, remember you are in customer service and read up on what is acceptable when claiming a package. This is your job and you apparently are the supervisor... I should not need to know more than you when coming in to claim a package.

Donna is very nice and efficient at what she does, while the other lady that was there once (don’t know her name) made a mistake in my moneygram transfer and because of it, my family overseas had to go several times to different moneygram locations until I figured it out that the mistake was made here.
