Im going to be honest… It took a year for me to decide if I wanted to write this review or not but after hearing similar stories within the community and from my own experience I think it’s well deserved. The staff at BAPS may have changed since, but when I went they were rude, inconsiderate, and demanding. We chose one animal and they continually asked us if we would like to adopt a different one. I have never had such poor customer service where we were forced to take appointments and blamed when we were unable to make it.It started when we adopted our Cat who needed to be spayed, BAPS informed us to never let her see other cats as she could get pregnant. This was understandable. However AFTER we adopted her they informed us that one of their own cats had gotten to ours and that they needed to schedule a quick Vet visit to eliminate her chance of having kittens. This was a bit annoying considering they were warning us constantly about this, but it ended up happening at their own facility. We were okay though, its whats next that really aggravated us.They called us on Family day to make an appointment for tomorrow. We were unable to make the appointment, but BAPS told us it was our fault and that we would have to call the vet and change everything when we didn’t even set up the appointment. We were then gaslit into believing that this would be our only chance and that BAPs would never get us to see a vet for months and that our cat could be pregnant (which was BAPs fault to begin with). So we did it ourselves and got an appointment in Lethbridge that same week. We paid out of pocket for thisNot only this but when we took our cat to the vet, they told us our cats hip was completely shattered and had healed incorrectly. This does not change how much we love our furry friend, but it would have been nice to know about, and made us feel like our cat hadn’t been properly examined by a veterinarian.Im just one story of many. If you’re going to pick up an animal from BAPS, make sure that you ask questions and ask for proof. Do not let them push you around and blame you for their poor care.

BAPS.The Society had an adopt a pet day June 11th.Had a BBQ the burgers were great. The staff was fantastic. It was good to see alot of people out. Hope alot of pets were adopted out. We adopted a cat. Geno is his name. He is a great cat. Likes his new home. A companion for our other cat Jack. The staff was great with the paperwork . I think they liked to see Geno adopted out but sad that he was leaving. I can see why they are so attached to Geno, he is one great cat .Heather and I thank you very much.Great job

People! Please! These throw away animals need our love too. Help by fostering an animal, adopting a pet or donating to the cause. Baps is a great place to find that pet you want to love. Remember that these animals are vaccinated, neutered or spayed and they have been cared for by our local veterinarians.
