Bought some specific header moulding to finish a home renovation. Ended up being incompatible and tried to return it. Because the 14ft lengths were cut in half (in store by their own cut shop) I couldn’t return and had to eat $140. Was never informed of this condition prior to the cutting, and considering most other stores sell this product by the foot, was caught unaware. Had I known, I would’ve tried to haul home full lengths for this potential for needing to return.
The staff were friendly enough about it, and I can understand the need for this policy (15% waste gets expensive), but making sure your customers are aware prior to would be helpful.
Will not conduct business here for some time.

Lovely staff. Can always find what I'm looking for. Great.selection of all things hardware from lumber to tools. Lovely kitchen knicknac selection as well.

They have a very wide selection of products and were able to finish my project.
The downside is that it’s seems that every aisle you go into you have an annoying beeping, which apparently turns on the cameras in the area. I have no issues with the cameras but the loud beeping was rather annoying.
Staff were all friendly and helpful. -2 stars for the annoying beeping.

Home hardware is normally not my cup of tea by any means but it's in a lot of smaller towns. This one is by far one of the best ones I have ever been too. Very friendly staff.

I went to the contractor supplier here last spring to order siding and panel insulation for my house which I was retrofitting in participation with the Greener Homes grant that is offered by the province. I was very clear that I was participating in this rebate program. Once all was said and done I was denied rebate on my insulation because Home Hardware sold me insulation that did not meet the criteria. After assuring me that it did. I emailed the individual who dealt with this project - not even the courtesy of a reply. I'm out thousands in rebate NO thanks to this company.

I went to your establishment Jan 23 with several items to return. 1 item for some reason was not on that receipt that I had so the gentleman at the return desk wanted to keep that item and not offer me a return for it because he claimed it was a cashier error. After arguing with him I just gave up. I left your store embarrassed and feeling like I was accused of doing something I didn't do. I did not get my item or return back
