A friend of mine has been dealing with BMO since the 90's with his business account. A few months ago he went into this branch to do some banking and because of some policy change they had him sign some documents. He received a cheque from a client in excess of $9,000.00 which he deposited. BMO contends that due to the docs he signed in Canmore, they will not release the money to his account. The cheque has been cleared so it can't be cancelled. In spite of showing all his ID and the fact he's been banking with them since the 90's, they are keeping his money. No one has a clue as to how to resolve this issue and so the money is now the property of BMO thanks to some docs BMO Canmore had him sign. They changed his company name to his personal name, and the cheque is in his company name so they won't release funds in spite of 28+ years of loyalty to BMO. Based on this experience, I would never recommend that you open a business account with BMO or deal with BMO Canmore.

This branch is a joke. There's never enough staff on the front end; with only one very very slow teller, I've had to wait as long as 30 minutes to do my in-person banking. The staff are unresponsive to telephone messages and the manager is largely absent to resolve issues and the in-branch investment team sits on paperwork for weeks. DO NOT bank with this branch.

called 5 times in 2 months for an appointment to change RSP. Not 1 call back. decided to go to the branch to make an appointment, and was told it would be 3 weeks before I could talk to someone. what the $#@#!#.

After repeated disappointments from TD over the year we decided to switch over to BMO. So far they have been absolutely excellent in their customer service. Scott L. made the transition seamless for us. We are very happy we made the switch!

Scott provided great service on a quiet Saturday afternoon at the branch. My simple request to exchange some coins for bills was met with a professional and helpful attitude. Thank you!

Just had the greatest experience with Blair at the canmore branch. Came in with a generic idea of what I wanted to do and Blair was incredibly helpful. He was very patient and explained everything I needed to know in thorough detail in a way that I could understand. Now not only I have a better understanding I also have a better plan.Unfortunately 5 stars just doesn't seem to be enough BMO if you see this get this man a raise. He goes above and beyond.

Staff at the branch are great. BMO itself, not so great these days:Record profits for banks ("embarrassment of riches" is the term the media's been using), beatdown covid economy for the rest of us, and they've chosen now as the time to raise fees! This is so insulting that I've started working on switching my accounts, mortgage, and credit cards to the local credit union. Everyone I point this out to seems keen to do the same. I see CBC has picked up on this, I hope it encourages the big banks to stop being so heartless.

Absolutely fantastic experience with Nancy when I was opening a new account. She was extremely friendly, patient, personal and took her time explaining everything to ensure I understood before proceeding. Would certainly recommend this branch for any service needed!

work efficiency is slow and terrible. Had car loan with BMO before. After I paid off the whole car loan, I asked them to have a formal document to prove I have paid off. The agent said she can't give me a prove right away because she need to contact other department and said will be done in 2 weeks. (just a prove you need 2 weeks? are you kidding me). That s fine, after 2 weeks, did not received anything, then I talk to the bank again, agent said will do it. Then thr branch manager sent me email and claimed that I will receive the prove document soon. More than 3 months from now, I received nothing. I reply that manager email, no respond. I am about to cancel all my bank account of BMO.

Lines have become longer, hours shorter, and more frequent changes in staff have led to a much poorer customer experience. This branch could use improvement, especially for commercial customers.
