Worst climbing gym I’ve ever been to. Didn’t like the staff, boulders/routes, the entire vibe.

Great facility! So nice to be able to go to a gym and get exercise on a rainy day while traveling! It has everything you need and staff are very friendly and helpful. It's surprisingly busy so they could use a few more machines (they only have one Stairmaster for example and it's pretty popular, as you'd expect in the mountains, so they could use a second) but overall such a great place. Much better than the 24 hour gym in Canmore; they actually allow day visits, and the day passes that are cheaper than my home gym!

Very clean and new climbing gym. It isn't big but there are lots of routes with different grades. They have bouldering, lead and TR routes. The grading is strict and very fun setting. Takeshi is really helpful and professional. There are nice changing rooms by the climbing gym too. Highly recommended for climbers stopping at Canmore.

Nice facility and your day pass gives you access to pretty much everything! Boulder route we're pretty challenging and the grading is quite difficult. But still enjoyed being able to climb on the top rope walls as well.

I dropped in to see their facilities and inquire about fees. A beautiful designed community gathering location with very high climbing walls, swimming pool, hot tubs, lockers, showers, steam bath, exercise room, activity rooms for arts and crafts, yoga, etc. The Canmore Library is located inside along with the The Canmore Art Guild Gallery. Lots of parking.

It's incredible that a town as small as Canmore has a facility as great as Elevation Place! The indoor aquatic centre is fun for both kids and adults. Designated lanes allow adults to swim free of splashing kids. A water slide, integrated hot tub, steam room and small lazy river make swimming at this pool lots of fun. The gym upstairs is a bit limited in terms of equipment offerings. The facility also has a library, small Art Gallery, cafe, kids play area and various quiet sitting areas. The real highlight is the climbing wall which is just incredible. My kids spent hours there and are now constantly asking to go back. Drop in fees are reasonable for a family (about $40), but kind of expensive for a single ($20). Overall Elevation Place is a crown jewel for the community!

Pool is great for families, especially ones with babies, toddlers and preschoolers. There is a lazy river that you can float down with a noodle. There is a large water slide, play area for the younger ones, lane swim and a hot tub. Make sure you pack a waterproof swim diaper or you will be required to purchase one at the front desk for $10. The pool does not have a towel service so bring a towel or purchase one for $5. Sells swimsuits and other supplies. Elevation Place also has a climbing wall, exercise room and Good Earth Cafe.

I had so much fun the first time indoor rock climbing that I've decided to go back again. The instructors are friendly, helpful, patient and knowledgeable.

Just worked out at Elevation Place. Wonderful facility. There are weight and cardio rooms as well as lots of classes. Nice swimming pool and kids area. Very family oriented. Bring flip flops. They do not allow street shoes in the locker room. Also the little cafe does not sell bottled water.
