Esso is a decent gas station close to Highway 1, often noted as one of the cheapest places for fuel. It has lots of pumps, a decent selection of convenience store goods, and a steady flow of traffic. The store offers a good amount of choice with prices that aren't bad. However, the washrooms are horribly dirty and small, and the windshield scrubbers often need replacing. Access is tight for trailers, and the entrance and exit roads are not the easiest to navigate. Staff are a mix of super nice, knowledgeable people and others less interested.
Rolled into Esso half-asleep, rolled out feeling like I could wrestle a grizzly. Filled the tank and grabbed a Ghost energy drink—now both me and the car are running on premium. Perfect launch pad for the drive to Jasper. Would’ve bought two but didn’t want to see through time.
