The Remington Carriage Museum offers an astounding collection of over 270 carriages, providing a comprehensive exploration of transportation history. The exhibits range from humble farmer carriages to luxury carriages, each offering a captivating glimpse into the past. The museum is a huge place with so many carriages, all with different and very interesting histories. A highlight for many is the free guided tour, which is highly recommended. The interpreters are fun, engaging, and knowledgeable, eager to share their insights. The tours explain the highlights and background stories behind the carriages, and visitors can choose their preferred tour length. Another particular highlight is the restoration workshop, where visitors can witness the meticulous process of repairing these magnificent carriages. The dedication and expertise of the craftsmen are evident. The museum is beautifully kept and a wonderful reason to visit the area. It is a must-see attraction, very impressive and way better than expected. Visitors should plan an hour and a half minimum, especially with a guided tour. It is a lovely museum that allows one to step back in time and is well worth the drive.
