Terrible customer service on the phone!!!! Cant get to customer service what a useless service. It makes me want to move all my money out of the royal bank. Come on RBC do better!!!

I will truly never bank with RBC EVER again due to the absolute circus I was put through with this bank. What should’ve been a simple process of paying off the rest of a car payment turned into them messing up on their end and giving me back the money I paid weeks later. I called many times to deal with it never got a call back. Finally got a response told them to send me the form so they could take the money back…AGAIN. Never sent the form. Tried to get into contact again and radio silence. Now 5 months later the money is taken out of my account suddenly…I’m left paying fees and overdraft due to their lack of communication and mistakes on something that should’ve been dealt with months ago and shouldn’t have been a problem in the first place. Disappointed is an understatement.

I've had pleasant dealings with a few of there team members in the past but recently when things counted they have let me down immensely. If you have the time to sit around and listen to there story's about how your investments aren't doing well they are alright. But if you need something from them they don't really seem to care or have any sense of urgency.

Had to set up an appointment to sign a transfer form and I show up there and my advisor isn’t there. There’s another advisor, lovely man, but no idea what’s going on. Couldn’t do anything for me, had nothing prepared nor could he gather a form for me to quickly sign. Then, I was supposed to get an email. It’s been days and nothing. I am disgusted with this branch.

She was like a robot, no care about what a customer wanted , whya customer was there. She should be replaced by a machineas soon as possible. otherwise RBC would be gone first

Horrible customer service from the bank manager herself. Would not help me in resolving my account limits and card withdrawal limits and shrugged her shoulders when I said I would just pull my money out and not use their Bank anymore. She said to do what I think is best no interest in keeping my business at all. So I've been pulling my cash out of the bank daily , since the won't increase my limit, so ill leave nothing in there for them. While I was explaining to her my issues... she was actually looking around not paying attention. Obviously bored with my conversation and that's when I said to her "you're obviously bored with this conversation so you might as well just go back to work there's no point in me wasting my breath telling you if you're not listening".Extremely poor customer service from that particular person.Carmen the teller though.. outstanding customer service ...wonderful... very positive ...very friendly... very helpful and eager. So kind and sensitive heart she could see how emotional I was.

My credit was hit with a hard inquiry without authorization. Full story: I was inquiring on opening an RBC chequing account. Upon entering, you will notice there is ZERO privacy at these "tellers" - they are trying wayyyy to hard to be hip/cool with separated, staggered stands. There is nowhere to line up: You walk in and wait for them to lean over away from their computer screens and greet you awkwardly. We met a very unfriendly teller named Harpreet who made us an appointment with a financial advisor. THREE days later we returned only to find that Harpreet herself WAS the financial advisor. She was a total mess when trying to open a chequing account - she had no working screens, the desk was an awkward tiny triangle, and was using her tiny laptop screen to show us the different available products. What got me in the end was when she was going to hand me her work laptop to start entering my information, and that's when I ended the appointment. The next day, my credit alert warned me about a hard inquiry from RBC. I was never advised about a credit check, I never authorized one, and she did not have the ability to answer any questions. When we returned to inquire about the hard check, another teller told us that after we left, she had opened the account, ran our credit, and then closed the account. Absolutely unacceptable for a big bank to allow this. Note that I did not verbally authorize or sign ANY documents giving her the go ahead to proceed. The professionalism is simply awful here, I will never return and will never bank with RBC. I will be reporting this branch and will 100% be disputing this with the credit bureaus.
