I had a great experience at Apple West Edmonton. I traded in my iPhone and my watch, and purchased a laptop and an iPad. The entire process was smooth and well organized. The store is clean and modern, and the staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful. They explained the trade-in process clearly and made everything easy and stress-free. I’m very happy with my purchases and will definitely be coming back soon to buy a phone as well. Highly recommended!

My experience specifically with the manager at this Apple Store was extremely disappointing and frankly unacceptable.
I spent about an hour in the store with a new iPhone that has a clear and recurring Bluetooth issue. The problem is consistent: after an update or a restart, Bluetooth works for exactly one day, and then stops working again. I explained this clearly and multiple times to the manager, including the fact that this behavior is exactly why a previous diagnostic done the day before could show “no issues.”
Despite this, the manager:
• refused to run a new diagnostic,
• kept repeating that “the system shows everything is fine” because yesterday’s diagnostic passed,
• completely ignored my explanation that the issue temporarily disappears for only one day.
Instead of properly checking the device, the manager insisted that I must:
• erase all data from my phone and perform a software reset, or
• send the phone to service, leaving me without a phone at all.
I firmly refused and explained why.
I am a professional photographer. My phone contains a large amount of work-related data, photos, videos, and client material.
Does the manager understand:
• how much time it takes to fully restore that amount of data?
• the risk of data loss?
• and most importantly — WHAT IS THE POINT, if Bluetooth would work for only one day again, and then the issue would return?
These questions were raised directly in the store.
There was no answer.
The manager did not perform diagnostics, did not attempt to reproduce the issue, did not analyze the behavior of the defect, and instead tried to shift the responsibility onto me by proposing solutions that:
• do not fix the problem,
• waste my time,
• put my data at risk,
• and leave me without a working device.
I showed the problem again on my phone and asked directly:
“Are you seriously not seeing the problem?”
The response was essentially: “The system says everything is fine.”
After leaving the store, I immediately contacted Apple Support.
During a long remote troubleshooting session, the support specialist identified the same defect, escalated the case, and Apple officially approved a phone replacement, acknowledging that the defect is real and confirmed.
This leads to one obvious conclusion:
the defect existed the entire time, but the store manager either did not want to or was not able to identify it.
Why does a Genius Bar exist if a real issue can be found remotely by Apple Support, but not by a manager in-store?
Why did I spend an hour in the store and make multiple visits if the phone was not even properly checked?
This review is specifically about the manager of this store, not Apple as a company.
Apple Support resolved the issue. The store did not.

My recent experience here was fast and efficient. I was there to pick up an order I had made the night prior. I got the notification that my order was ready for pick up almost instantly upon the store opening. I was helped fairly quickly and I was out of there within minutes.

Extremely disappointed with my experience at the Apple Store in West Edmonton Mall. The staff, including the manager, were unhelpful, robotic, and showed very little interest in finding an actual solution to my problem. My issue was clearly a manufacturer’s defect, but after getting nowhere with them, I ended up paying almost $700 just to end the interaction because I was so fed up.
I was told to come back in five hours to pick up what I assumed would be my repaired phone. Instead, they made me wait another 20+ minutes when I returned, only to tell me they had cracked my screen while taking it apart and were giving me a refurbished device instead. To make things worse, my original phone had a screen protector, and you would think they would replace it since they were supposed to return a device identical to the one I left with them. They refused, saying they weren’t liable and offered no solution.
Overall, terrible service, no accountability, and a complete lack of basic customer care. Absolutely not what I expect from Apple. I would avoid this location if you can.
