  End to end this was an AWESOME experience! I cannot see myself ever renting a moving truck again. The staff to start at both originating and end locations and booking team were all fantastic to deal with. Great communication throughout the process and did not miss a timeline or date.
  
  Now the actual value of using the box. So much better. To start you don't have this mad rush to stuff all your stuff in a truck in the fastest amount of time to get on the road. I got 4 days to do load at a speed that was at my pace. Normally I would be hitting the road and already tired driving a big giant truck so already a risk.
  
  I was also able to get into the Box at their office before the end destination delivery date with ease from the staff there. Asked me when I needed access and had it ready for me to take a couple of my big plants out rather than have the sitting in the dark.
  
  Unloading was no different, 4 days to unpack as we go. Took our time and before we knew it the box was empty.
  
  I can NEVER see myself using a moving truck again for a long distance move! EVER! Thanks BigSteelBox Company and Staff!

  UPDATE*** Changing from a 1* to a 4*. I was contacted by the company and given a couple different options to rectify this situation. Robin was incredibly helpful today, and was able to come up with a solution that respected our moving situation and bylaw parking issues.
  
  The move from Kitchener to Edmonton was seamless....however, since then, has been nothing but problematic. We are moving on March 27. Apparently, even though our driveway is exactly 20' (and being told the driveway must be 20' to deliver), I have been told the driver may or may not deliver, and if the driver chooses not to deliver, then I have to pay them again, to take the box back to their shipyard, and set up re-delivery, which I would have to pay another $500 for a re-attempt....even though it would be the same outcome (also, should driver choose not to deliver we are going into a long weekend, which means I move into my new house with nothing for almost a week before they would be able to attempt delivery again). Our other option provided from the company is to park the bin on the road, only if we obtain a permit...Sounds easy enough to do...however a parking permit is only good for 3 days. I'm moving on March 27. Apparently all their drivers are in driver training on March 28, and then they are closed then until April 2, so if we parked our bin on the road, we risk getting ticketed and towed, and that cost would be up to us to pay for. Also, I cannot guarantee parking spaces will be available in front of my house or on my street on the day we move. How can someone possibly know that in advance. I also asked what happens in this scenario and I was told over the phone, that again, we would have to pay for a re-delivery a different day.
  
  For a company that thrives on customer service, and moving expertise, this has been the worst moving experience I've dealt with thus far. We are now, going to be stuck having to rent a moving truck, drive to the ship yard, unload the bin in the yard, pack it all in a moving truck, drive truck to house and unload. (and this is provided we can access our storage bin 2 days in a row on March 27 and 28) . A moving company should NOT be unavailable for almost a week, long weekend or not. It is unacceptable, and I will not be referring this company to anyone.
  
  Also, for those looking for prices, it cost close to $7000 + thus far to move from Kitchener, ON to Edmonton, and the process is not even complete yet. I do not recommend using this company to move from 1 province to another, and recommend you make sure your driveway is more than 20' long, or you'll have the same problem we are dealing with now.

  We recently moved and had a 2 week overlap from moving out to moving into our new place.We rented 1 bin from Steel Box and were extremely satisfied with the service. Price was reasonable. Communication was amazing. They were on time and received a call prior to pick up each time. When I phoned for any questions the staff was also available for my questions via email or phone and very pleasant. This company is on their game and it's a pleasant surprise to see this high level of customer service.

  Excellent organization! They drop off and pick up exactly when they say they will. You can reach them by phone or email, and speak to the same agent every time. The drivers are friendly and professional, and will answer questions. Love dealing with this company!

  We used BigSteelBox for an inter-province move with uncertain move-in dates (new house still under construction). Worked very well as a hybrid between a moving/shipping company and storage unit.They transported my container to their yard closest to my final destination and held it there until I was ready to receive it on my driveway. I had access to my unit with 24 hour notice while they stored it. It was a good service because of the flexibility and ease with which a solution can be tailormade for each unique situation.

  Highly recommend!! Right fgrim the first phone call everything went flawlessly!! We moved provinces and Big Steel Box made it stress-free. Also, a fraction of the cost of van lines. Super great experience

  Used them back in BC about 10 years ago they were quit reasonable. Now I can hire movers to do it all for me, fr way less.

  I was quoted 200$ for empty drop off and 200$ for empty pick up. This worked out to close to 9$ a mile. Industry standard is between 1-3$ a mile depending on the complexity. All the competitors came in at 90-100$ which is far closer to industry standard and more then half the cost of Big Steel Box. Make sure you check your per mile quote and compare it.

  I was looking for company to move our 3br house from Ontario to Alberta. I called few companies and ended up choosing Big Steel Box because they have a weight allowance up to 10 000 lbs and you are loading the box yourself. It was two main reasons I chose this company. I had to move my gym equipment, which is quite heavy and also wanted to have control over the loading. I actually ended up loading all my equipment and furniture in one container and did not get any surprise charges for extra weight. The whole experience dealing with drivers and customers service representatives was always pleasant and very professional. Definitely helped our family to make this big transition stress free!I also would like to mention the communication! Got email when our box left Ontario and when arrived to Alberta. That was actually really helpful in terms of planning our own trip. We had the container delivered 2 days after our own arrival.Thank you for your great service! Our family would definitely recommend you without any hesitation.

  I tapped Big Steel Box to get 2 20ft sea cans moved from Edmonton to Calgary. I had no idea what would be involved as it was my first time getting this done. There are alot of factors to consider when moving a container such as the amount of space available for the pick up and delivery, the true weight of the container as this affects what they need to get the job done and will save the consumer money as they wont need to return due to misinformation about the pickup, finding the right people to make the move happen on time and safely and other factors. Andrew and the team asked the right questions, kept me in the loop as to what was going on and ensured this went smooth. Thank you Team Big Steel Box for all your help. I'll be using you as my go to to make these moves happen on time and keep me from stressing!!
