I moved with them in 2015. It took them six weeks to deliver my stuff from Brandon to Medicine Hat only after my son tracked them down in Aldergrove BC where their office was in a used furniture auction place. They expected me to pay for the damage to their trailer when the driver backed in a broke his axle. It sat for 6 weeks in an unsecured yard where they had hauled the trailer to repair. They had refused to pay the shop for their repairs. When my stuff finally arrived after paying them another 2k because they claimed the estimate they gave was too low. When my stuff finally arrived it looked like they just threw everything in no a single pad. I had custom made furniture one of a kind that were smashed. My house insurance covered over 70k in damages because the owner told me that the insurance I had with them they canceled. These guys are criminals and should be thrown in jail. They likely were selling peoples things at their auction place. Had not my done and his two body builder friends not paid them a visit I likely would not have received my stuff. Never pay anyone up front and not by Etransfer because you have zero protection.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY WERE HIRED TO MOVE AND STORE MY BELONGINGS..NOT ONLY DID THEY ARRIVE A DAY LATE FOR THE MOVE..THEY LEFT A THIRD OF MY HOUSE BEHIND SAYING THEY DIDNT BRING A BIG ENOUGH TRUCK, WHEN I COMPLAINED.... "DAVID ASHKEN", THEIR SENIOR MOVING SPECIALIST, SUGGESTED THAT I GET "WELFARE" TO REMOVE MY REMAING ITEMS (because he was aware that i was going thru a horrible divorce)....WHEN I FINALLY DID RECIEVED MY REMAINING ITEMS FROM THEIR STORAGE NOT ONLY WAS I MISSING THE ITEMS THEY INTENTIONALLY LEFT BEHIND,BUT SOME OF MY FURNITURE AND BOXES WERE DENTED AND WATER DAMAGED, AND OTHER EXPENSIVE ITEMS WERE MISSING.AND I WAS LEFT WITH A $6000 MOVING BILL..THAT I WAS QUOTED $800 FOR THE MOVE AND 5 WEEKS OF STORAGE.THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO REGULATE THESE MOVING COMPANIES!!!!UNTIL THEN STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS MOVING COMPANY IN EDMONTON ALBERTA...ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR FUNITURE THEY WILL INFLATE YOUR BILL, LEAVE YOUR ITEMS BEHIND, DAMAGE THE REMAINING. AND YOU WONT SEE YOUR BELONGINGS UNTIL YOU PAY WHAT THEYRE ASKING ..I REALLY CANT BELIEVE THEY'RE STILL UP AND RUNNING...LOOK, JUST SOME OF MY BELONGINGS LEFT BEHIND...Services: Moving-related storage

1. Had drivers yell at myself and my building manager, simply for asking that they don't place our parcels on the our on the city streets. And actually move them to our building. 2. Left without confirming we had all of our packages. 3. Forced us to carry all of our items to our unit directly from the loading area. A service we paid a premium to avoid 4. Smoked near our items so that some are un-wearable. Forcing us to wash every item we have. 5. Caused our entire unit to reek of smoke.

The prices were very reasonable and the service was great. They even emailed me the receipt I lost for tax purposes. No complaints and If you are moving across the country but don't have a lot of stuff, go with them!

Thank you to CanadaUS Van Lines for moving our stuff from Calgary to Kitchener. I would give a perfect 5 but we did have some issues. First, was they were about an hour and a half late outside the provided window for initial pick up, however they were very apologetic for being late and they were very respectful and careful while moving our belongings.Another disappointment was the final cost was over what we were quoted so I would just advise to be prepared to pay more than the estimate. (we didnt move a lot of furniture; no couches or dining furniture or appliances so we were surprised that we were over the weight estimated for a 2 bedroom apartment). However, though the final cost was over the estimate, it was still the best deal for moving our personal items across the country, and the movers at pick-up and drop off were great. We would definitely use them again if we were going to move cross country.

They did not bring masks to move. They told me they will not move up the stairs without extra charge. No shoe covers so they will scratch the floors.

I was going to use these guys for a move because their quote came in so low. After booking with them I got a confirmation email that had some of the details incorrect. I decided to do a quick glance at some reviews and there was some scary stuff being said about this company. I was nervous because I had already paid my deposit. I provided them the correct information by email and asked for some help understanding the negativity about this company. I not receive any further explanation. I then cancelled my booking and they have decided to keep my deposit. The entire experience felt fragmented and uncomfortable. It often felt like the people on the phone aren't listening. Additionally more costs came to light after I booked in my booking confirmation then was detailed in my original quote. $200 well spent to be able to share my experience.

I booked a move with CanadaUs Vanlines from Toronto to Red Deer, Alberta. The company quoted me $750 for 1000lbs (the first 500lbs being $500 and then each additional pound charged individually). I only had the contents of my bedroom and my kitchen items. The only furniture I moved was a small bookshelf- I was finishing University and moving home, but had no big furniture. I thought it was worth moving for such a good price. When I was emailed with my invoice before delivery it was for 1420lbs and I was being charged $895.00 (after my $200 deposit) I was shocked with this assessment and contacted Dana. She said this weight seemed pretty on par with my shipment - I had 39 items and she on average each box will weight 40 lbs/ give or take. I was still very surprised and did not think this seemed right since a lot of my boxes were very tiny. But they quoted me for 1000lbs which is the quote for the 1 bedroom apartment and since I moved the things from my room and my kitchen items and no big furniture I just assumed their quote was very misleading. The next day I was emailed in the morning (it was a Friday) asking if they could deliver that day- however I was away for a family event in Canmore and did not check my email until around 3:00pm. Dana indicated that since I did not respond to the earlier email so I was then going to be charged $160 for storage. I did not receive any phone calls (I had changed the phone number in my file before my first pick up- so they called the wrong number). On Monday I called saying it was unfair they charged me storage when I could not make the same day delivery because I was out of town. Had Dana asked me about delivery the day before I would have been able to adjust my schedule. They were very unhelpful and I had to pay the extra amount to get my things. Totalling my owing amount to $1095.Upon my delivery I did not think my stuff amounted to the 1420lbs. So I personally weighted every box on my own before opening (which I recored on video). My total was 648.76lbs. They told me there was nothing they could do since it was delivered and I could have done a rescale for $400.I contacted the Edmonton office and they were awfully unhelpful- I've never been treated so poorly by any company before. My theory is that they estimated my weight based on my boxes - not actual weight. I feel like they can get away with this for big moves but since I had a good idea of how much my shipment should weigh I knew something was off. But a rescale would cost me $400. When I contacted customer service they said they would "help me out because I'm a student" and refunded me for 500lbs which means that I've still been scammed out of around $430 which is what they would have got if I asked for a rescale. So please please please do not book with this company. There is a huge lack of integrity from everyone I spoke to and it makes me sick that a company as a whole can operate in such a way.*I will add that the movers both at the pick up and the drop off were great. Efficient, on time and careful with my items.

Honestly can’t believe how this company gets any 5 star ratings. I booked with Canada Us Van Lines on July 8th for a pick-up date of July 23rd, the agent I spoke to Jessica told me that the movers would be at my place on the 23rd between 4-5 PM because they go from Edmonton to Calgary and then back to Edmonton and I would be picked up on the way back to Edmonton. The day of the 23rd I received a call confirming the pick-up of my items, the receptionist informed me that they were running a little late and would be there between 7-9, not the original 4-5. Well 7 o’clock came and then I received a call from the movers, they were still running late and would be at my place for 11 o’clock. At this point this is getting absurd, I lived in a suburban area of Red Deer and having people move my possessions out at that time is risky due to being so late. But because I had so many plans, travel arrangements, and money spent on moving today I decided to agree. The moving company phoned again at 10:30 PM stating that they could not get there until 12:30 AM, now this absolutely ridiculous. You cannot move someone at 12:30 AM due to noise violations and how obvious it would look like the place is being robbed, the fact that they were even willing to attempt it shows how unprofessional this company is. So I informed the mover that it cannot happen at that time and I would call his office in the morning, he apologized constantly and promised me he would be there at 10 o’clock the next morning.I phoned their office at 9 AM the next day to complain and to ask what went wrong with the move that I had secured over two weeks prior. The receptionist, Jessica I believe her name was, apologized to me and told me that the movers would be there between 12-1 PM. That was the last straw for me, the movers had told me that they would arrive at 10 AM now you’re telling me they will be there between 12-1 PM, how could I believe that with the amount of times they changed the timeframe the day before, they most likely still wouldn’t have even showed up! I informed her that I would be cancelling my move with Canada US Van Lines for their horrible reliability. I had to rent an UHaul and a car hauler which cost me well over double the $2000 I was quoted from Canada US Van Lines. I had to rearrange my travel arrangements, cancel payments I made with deposits all because this company cannot keep their word. This company is unreliable, horrible managed and grossly incompetent I would never recommend them to anyone. Oh and for reference my order number is C4173 since I see the owner likes to harass people reviewing on this site, I would be more than welcome to hear how your company is going to give me financial compensation for your incompetence.

Lies and lies from this company!!! I spoke with Jessica Belinda in Edmonton and she told me that the team can arrive at 8:30. Less than one day before I got a call saying that will arrive after 11:00..so I call back and after talking with them. I was told that they will come between 9 to 11 but they arrive about 12:00 pm.They asked me for a full deposit but I did not do it. I just deposit $300 as why you have to pay in full in advance? My customer number is C4178. I did my move yesteray july 31st before someone from this company writes "I am a competitor" . Also there are scratches on my furniture and walls and roof.Do not use them!!!

Not sure how people gave 5 stars to this service. it has been more than 25 days and they still don't know when it will be delivered!! because they have no control on their agent in Ontario .. who does then if you don't ? it has been 4 weeks waiting for confirmation of delivery and not due to late payment. i would also suggest you to reply with the truth and be honest.

It doesn't take much to do some digging into the reviews of this company to realize you definitely should look elsewhere. Specifically that review that claims they also own real canadian movers. We've called both today not knowing it's the same company, and if it is, that tactic they are using is almost fraudulent. Or is. Every reputable reviewer with multiple reviews (3, or more) has given this company a 1 star review. It's a shame because one of their employees was really good to work with, while the other made us quickly look into the reviews which we should have done sooner. Self awareness goes a long way and the lack there of, well speaks for itself. The worst thing is they advertise that they price match but then say they don't if it's not good for them. Even when it's the same supposed company that gave us the other quote, and somehow when I call that company, the dates that I request are all booked up way in advance. There's nothing that gives me a good gut feeling about this company.

These guys were excellent! I had a bunch of stuff I needed moved into 10’ by 20’ storage unit, as well as furniture I needed rearranged around the house. They were friendly, professional, and VERY efficient. While they were moving everything out of the truck and into storage, it was pouring rain, and it did not slow them down in the least. We scheduled about 7 hours for the move, but they got it done in 5! I will definitely use their services again!

I had a great experience with Canada US lines moving company. I had read some reviews online and was originally concerned. However Dana addressed my concerns in a timely manner and was a pleasure to work with. Upon pick up, the movers arrived within the determined timeline and also delivered on time. All of my possessions made it with little to no damage (general scratches that you would expect when moving). The movers were friendly and efficient. I would use this company again for moving.

The movers were courteous, thorough, careful with furniture, and communicated with us several times along the way. Their day was long, and while the truck arrived later than expected, they were efficient and patient with us, and took time to remove wrapping from furniture. They were well mannered, and we were pleased with the move-in process.
