I had an appointment set for 10 am. Informed the teller of my arrival 10 to. I had to remind them at 10:15 of my arrival and finally got in. Timing is super important to me, and I had this booked two weeks in advance. Not a doctor's office. The service didn't seem particularly sophisticated to me, and generally unhelpful.

Had to edit this. Went in to set up an account for a small business and was simply told “we don’t do that at this branch anymore” and was given a number to call. An hour on hold to set up a bank account I can’t do in person. Unreal. Happy to take my money but not providing any service.

This branch made one of my accounts disappear, and it took them four months to figure out where my money went! After countless calls, follow-ups, and spending hours on hold with them, I’ve learned to be extra careful with my accounts. I was worried the same thing might happen to my other accounts, but there was no support or concern for me as a client. Unbelievable!

It's 12:03 on a wedsday and there's one teller customer service is appalling don't come here if you have to see a teller quickly. 0/10 The staff are nice but there's not enough staff. It's 12:40 and they have helped almost 2 people. Still waiting it's painful.

Hello? I payed a loan off that I had from a previously existing chequings account in cash in full to this branch. A WEEK and a half later I get a letter from Gatestobe collection agency saying I need to pay the money. Get it sorted. The worst bank in all of Canada.

Time wasters and bunch of uneducated employees. They can’t fix simple issues and later they say everything is fine, we had to call customer care only to find out there’s a problem.
CIBC, you guys can do better !

Unlike the bad reviews my experience was different. I was greeted kindly and helped through my many choices of tfsa. The nice lady took her time with me and answered all the questions I had. She helped me pick the best one for my lifestyle and contribution needs. She gave me a strong understanding of what I was getting into and was very respectful of my choices. I loved that she also gave me a few different previous concepts from previous experiences she’s encountered with other people.

Atrocious customer service. Waited in line for almost an hour to see a teller and every single person in front of me was receiving terrible service. If you want to stand in line just to be told to call a number that you called yesterday that told you to go to a branch, bank with CIBC.
