About D. S. MacKenzie Junior High School
D.S. MacKenzie Junior High School is a mixed bag, with both positive and negative reviews from students and parents. The school is described as having nice teachers who genuinely want students to succeed, and it offers a variety of extracurricular activities and electives like foods, band, drama, and information technology. Many students report having a great experience at the school and appreciate the inclusive environment. However, the school also faces some challenges. Some students find the other children to be "annoying" and the school environment to be "chaotic," with constant noise and crowds. There have also been issues with strict cell phone policies and a previous principal that some found to be problematic. The new principal, Mr. Fonseca, is seen as a positive change, with efforts to interact with students and provide hot lunch and pizza options. Overall, D.S. MacKenzie Junior High School seems to provide a mixed experience, with some students and parents finding it to be a great school with caring teachers and plenty of opportunities, while others struggle with the sometimes challenging student behavior and administrative decisions. The school appears to be working to address some of these concerns under the new principal's leadership.

A very nice school with nice teachers and a cozy space to learn. The children say bad things about the school for no reason and I love it there. The kids are not as great sadly.
