I went to Dollarama and witnessed a cashier speak rudely to a customer who was simply checking the expiry date on ice cream, which is completely reasonable—especially since expired products are not uncommon. Other customers were doing the same thing without being questioned, yet this person was addressed in a dismissive tone. The interaction felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Customer service should be respectful and consistent. I’ll be contacting management to address this.

It's just standard - no wow factor whatsoever. But the real letdown was the staff. Their language skills were seriously lacking - struggled with basic small talk, let alone anything more complex. Feels like they're phoning it in. If they wanna improve, they gotta get their team to actually connect with the culture and language here. 😒 Not recommended if you're looking for a smooth experience.

The staff are all miserable I like he prices at Dollarama but when you ask them to get something from the back they sigh and moan or complain it's too heavy. Seriously need to teach your workers to put on a smile even if it's fake

Store is clean and well stocked, lots of variety. I went there today with my two toddlers and while at the till as I was counting change to pay I attempted to make small talk, and the cashier abruptly interrupted me to remind me of the price again, although I was counting the change out for her as we spoke and not holding the line up or anything. I think if you don’t feel like being friendly, don’t work a cashier job.

This Dollarama location is quite spacious with a noticeably larger selection compared to what I’m used to at the Brooks location on Whyte Ave. The kitchen and kids sections in particular had a lot more variety, which was a pleasant surprise.
Overall, it’s a decent store—clean, well-stocked, and great for finding affordable everyday items. The only downside is that it’s not the most accessible if you’re on foot or using transit, so it’s definitely more convenient if you have access to a car. Still, worth checking out for the selection and space.
