Lots of safety hazards with piles of boxes everywhere. Shelves are never stocked. The store is always a mess. The staff often do not know much english, so asking for assistance or anything is basically off the table. Addittionally, there was tons of overpriced AI generated christmas decor, if youre into AI slop.
However, I am specifically writing with review about an unacceptable experience I witnessed. While shopping, I heard a manager scream at and intimidate a staff member in the back room. The door was closed, but she was so loud that I could hear her crystal clear. Even going as far as threatening to involve 10 other managers to gang up on this staff member if the member did not behave how she liked. The attitude was unprofessional, rude, and belligerent. Nobody should be spoken to that way, especially not someone making $15 an hour in this economy. Whoever the manager is should be ashamed. Your position above others DOES NOT allow you the right to disrespect other people. I do not wish to give my money to a company who allows this kind of treatment to their staff. Overworked, underpaid, and horribly disrespected. I am so deeply sorry to whichever member of staff that abhorrent attitude was directed at.

I think it was delivering day! Isle were kinda congested with stock! But the staff was friendly and I was in & out in a good time!

Cashier from yesterday is not paying attention on costumer. Needing a help on scanning my purchase instead of helping he is busy talking to his friend.. waited 3 mins before help arrived

Horrible service today. Had a cart half full, and Amal at the till refused to help me, rather sending me to self checkout. I am visibly ill, wearing a headcovering for my bald head and had a cane in my cart. He took the people before us and the three separate groups following but outright refused to help me. Shameful behavior. What has happened to human kind.

I normally enjoy shopping at Dollarama for its convenience and selection, but my recent experience was disappointing. My friends and I were shopping respectfully and had items to purchase, yet we were rushed multiple times by staff—even though the store had not yet closed. As we were paying for our items, we were told to leave, which felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. We understand the importance of closing on time, but there is a more respectful way to manage it without making customers feel like a burden. A bit more patience and professionalism would go a long way.

I asked one of the staff where a certain product is as i am not familiar with the store and she responded in a very rude manner!! I think she is asian(filipino) with short hair! She should not be working in this kind of line of work!!!

My experience here is nice I lived in this area for 14 years since I was born and I find this dollarama amazing the staff isn’t mean to me or racist they help me when I need it.

Asked the Blonde, curly haired Ukrainian (russian??) lady to help me at a till and she said no. "You can wait. Self check out won't take long."
Why do you have a cashier standing there refusing to help the line up of people if they aren't cashiering?
