“I can’t say enough good things about The Gramophone.
A couple months ago, they helped me fix my Urban Outfitters 2016 record player when I couldn’t find a replacement needle anywhere. As a total vinyl newbie with an UO record player, I walked in feeling a bit embarrassed, but they were nothing but kind, welcoming, and completely judgment-free. They took the time to help me, treated my setup with respect, and made the whole experience genuinely positive. They even made sure to test the wiring and helped explain how to troubleshoot some other record player issues I was having (again, a newbie…)
Recently, I returned for a very different reason. I’m a teacher, and I wanted my Grade 9 art students to paint on old records for a project. The Gramophone was the very first place I thought of, and they absolutely went above and beyond. They were incredibly generous and helped me get a great collection of 45s for my students to work with.
Their kindness honestly made my day, and because of them, two semesters of Grade 9 students will get to experience a truly cool, creative project. That kind of community support means everything.
